Getting Started

i use an officially unlocked singtel set - firmware 2.2.1
i jailbroke it recently and installed MakeItMine and BiteSMS
i have been fooling around with MiM - i changed the name of carrier and banner several times. and now i have lost cellular connection.
if i reset the name of the carrier, i get the connection back after several minutes. and vice versa.
am i doing something wrong?
---------
now the connection is just wonky ... i get maxis on and off. i tried resetting the network but nothing worked.

MiM does not affect the signal. It only change the carrier name to any name you like in the plist. It's just coincident that this happened while you're on MiM.

U said it happened after JBing right? Maybe the JB process did not go correctly. Try JBing again with quickpwn.

Then that shows that it happened after the jailbreaking hence my suggestion to run the Jailbreaking process again.

Try getting extended preferrence from Cydia and enable it thru Winterboard. Then go to settings-springboard-fake carrier and change it from there..

Lately my iPhone has not been getting coverage in my room as well. Weird, my 2nd phone, Nokia has full coverage, but mine has none.
what could it be? hardware problem ?
