sigh.... iphonemodem got this app, it will create for me automatically

now i need to go find that thread on how to create an adhoc connection

not difficult to create a Adhoc connection on MAC/XP/Vista... Give a try by clicking your MAC book wifi connection. look for Creating new WIFI network. then select Adhoc..... I never use MAC b4.. but normally it is there 1...
If not mistaken iphonemodem is not a true modem software.. It uses proxy...

sugen, im using the pda net now, bloody telekom down today, 3 hours later only i remember abt using the iphone 3G to my mbp

so far so good, speed is constant too, THANKS!!!!

Great to hear that...I am also using it on my EDGE unlimited data plan.. Speed is good & stable at about 160-200 kbps..

edge so fast?
im running on 3G, stable is abt 250, but occasionally i see shot up to 300+ kbps

Yup. EDGE is very stable & reliable...Had been using it for 1 year plus..Started with my hp ipad, now with iphone..

hmm, if incoming call, will it affect anything?
and do i need or is there a way to shut pdanet after i use it?

Basically no need, if u disconnect via USB/WIFI connection. Then, the connection is lost. Or u can also turn it off..Just go to PDANET setting- PDANET off..For EDGE, can't accept incoming call when there is EDGE traffic transfer.. When no packet being send/receive. Then incoming call can get through..

Yes..big different,iphonemodem is a proxy type.Means the app u use must support proxy connection.Not all app today support proxy connection.A good example is VPN client.U can't connect your iPhone VPN tunnel via proxy.PDANET is a true modem software that support all protocols

so the benefits of paid version is?

btw, yesterday hor... i checked my usage is 800+ mb for data received, i think once it reach one gb hor i think my iphone restarts itself... funny..

and the phone dem kaw warm

PDANET is a true or native iphone modem. That support all protocols. & it is not proxy type.

with da recent probs with tmnet, im currently tinking of tethering 3g to my pc...
i hv tried it b4, it works but da ting is, i hv not used it for long periods...
i just use it for short time n then phone gets heat up a little...
any1 here use for long periods...share views on tis pls
