gaming takes into account FPS... not DPI..

dpi more sensitive, faster scrolling rate in FPS games. I play dota with 1500dpi, i play cs with 2000dpi

DPI actually means how many dot it can sense with each movement, higher it is means you don't need to move your hand alot, so lower movement, other way of saying it is faster also lo. If you play those 800dpi one, sure your hand must scroll the mouse again and again one. That's what dpi are for.
