Need help! DD MC-TDX problem...

Hi people of OCU... I need some help here... i juz bought an MC-TDX for my i7... i m using i7-920...running at 3.2 ONLY... but my idle temp is high... as high as the stock cooler...
i need some help...as i m sure the MC-TDX can do better than that... is there any anomalies that i shud check?
btw i m using MC-TDX, Laing D4, 2 x 120 rad, artic silver 5
my idle temp is anrd 44 and load is 70+...
please advice.... thanks!

Hmmm..........Is there any obvious trapped air bubble?That will affect temperature as well.

Not that i can see of... does too much thermal paste affectst he temp too? any guide on how much to put on an i7?

I think it's more to a bad mount situation and an unclean surface of the block

bro...can u enlighten me a bit about bad mount and unclean surface? bcoz all i know is i got this block from factory and it's all new... so yeah...care to explain a bit?
