He's looking for a better programming language. Anything could be better than whatever programming language he's already using smile.gif

i tot we can use any type of PL to form AI.

AI is all about logic which can be coded from any language.

Btw, there is no best language. We can see alot of C, Java and .NET because they are the most used language in softaware dev. C is the basic where college teach them a few years back. Now most coll introduce .NET ( applications using ms platform) and Java (run anywhere as long as have the runtime environment).

It would be sufficient if i know C, Java, and .NET. For web, there is always ASP and PHP.

Heck, there is still alot of cobol, phyton coders around.

Correct me if im wrong.

for ai
prolog is nice, because it is based on predicate logic. Which means you can write a program to deduce something.

lisp is nice, you can use it to build abstractions, and library for AI exist a lot, thanks to the AI lab during before the AI winter=.

but for the rest, it is can be done. It just algorithms and mathematics btw, not magic. Anything thing that can be describe in equation can be program, it just a matter of how fast it is.

If you really want to go in-depth for artificial intelligence programming, learn Lisp. It's a very old language, but it was designed for AI programming. But I doubt you can find books on Lisp at bookstores.

BTW i worked with cobol, and play with python.
I can only say cobol is still alive, especially in banking.

I think c should be the prerequisite of doing programming.

WRONG!!!

lisp is not design for AI.

lisp is a general purpose programming language, emacs for example is written in lisp. You can use it for many thing.
