Guys, I have a question. I have done all my EASA B1.1 modules. And I'm 23 next year and will start working on Jan 2016 in Singapore. Does that mean I'll become a LAE in 28 years old? And do I have any other way to become LAE in faster than 28? Help please, fresh grad here.

Did u finish your easa paper in a 147 reg company? Did u receive 147 certificate of recognition? Or just exam transcript.

I finished my EASA papers in TAFE and British Council. They both are part 147 recognised exam centre but I didn't study in 147 school. I studied in Nilai University. So, what's the solution? Although, I did get the certificate for passing. :/

Then u have to work for 5 years while collecting your work sched.

Those exemption only applicable for 147 student and must do their OJT under the school to obtain the certificate of recognition.

Pls refer to caa uk website for further information.

Okay thanks for the reply. There is no other job that requires EASA right other than LAE? And another question, does the work schedules can be collected from any live aircraft companies? I heard AA is not EASA part 145 recognised? But then how people becoming LAE from AA? Can you explain me with this?

Ask yourself, what are AML for?

Not all,at least in Malaysia the company need to be dcam 145 plus the company have an aircraft that cover broad range of ATA chapter.

Im mot sure since my company is not dcam 145 approved, but as per my understanding they need malaysian license to sign 9m reg aircraft.and for european registration then only require easa license, this doenst include company approval etc etc.

Do u know that u are requires to in uk for 2 years before u can get type rating endorsed on your license?

And if want to work in malaysia, easa license is not really have market unless the company own eu reg aircraft.

Basically you are saying that if in Malaysia, dcam 145 approved companies can collect work schedules. And after five years, give all the documents to UK and get the caa license, then convert to dcam license by doing mod 9 and 10? By that time, we could sign 9M aircrafts right?

If you check CAA.co.uk website for initial application for Part 66 AML, easa 145 oversea company have to send in original logbook. For non easa 145 oversea company, its the same have to send original logbook.

You can collect any workschedule under dcam 145 companies.

For your case is 5 years. The first task until the last should have 5 years min duration.

After all done, get your CAA license.

Than do conversion by mod9 and mod 10. Get DCAM. (For now, we donno what will happen in 5 years time)

Than type and company, than can sign 9M.

By the way, since you got 5 years to go right, take DCAM papers as well, easy collect 1 workschedule can apply both parties, no need do conversion. biggrin.gif

Okay, I can get you. I started working with Dviation Solutions based in Sepang Aircraft Engineering since Jan 2015. Does that mean I need to finish off my ATA chapters till Jan 2020 right?
