It's NOT conversion, rather the ADOPTION (with some modifications, of course) of EASA-66 syllabus can be as early as 2010. Bear in mind, it is still DCA's AMEL, NOT EASA license.

APR is the second approved training organisation after MIAT.

yup. I should use Adoption rather than Conversion & I still know currently it is still DCA's AMEL.
Maybe next year 2010, we shall know~ Thankx Jazzy. |

QUOTE(hakunamatata @ Oct 12 2009, 01:21 PM) Category 'C' license for powerplant. But for rotorcraft (helicopter) LAEs, they do not have that privilege, eventho they are 'A&C' license holder. Because starting an engine on a helicopter is considered a flying procedure and it falls within the pilot's jurisdiction (simply because the pilot has the license to fly). So helicopter LAEs needs the help of the pilot if they want to do an engine run. |

Dont mean to be rude but, you should take some time and read through from the first page of this thread. Loads of good information available and ready for easy reading. what do you mean exactly? you take up a/c maintenance eng. course and graduated and wondering the paths available for you? or you are asking on how to be an a/c maintenance engineer? or LAME in short. either way, check first page. lol everything's there. Read up on it and when you have doubts, post it up. |

I am currently studying Aviation Engineering, and this would be one of the top in my list to be pursued for my future career.
