QUOTE(jazzy939 @ Nov 15 2010, 08:09 PM) Graduating from a Part 147, you should have an LWTR. No priviledges for sure but you can be employed for a maintenance engineer position, given a type rated course, once passed will eligible you(after satisfying the minimum requirements) to sit for company's approval oral examination. LAME is the path, should not be any less. I wonder why you're still confused since you're already 'in the industry'? huh? i thought have to work about 2 years then will be getting LWTR eventhough graduating from Part 147?

QUOTE(jazzy939 @ Nov 17 2010, 10:21 PM) How can you graduate without an LWTR? Your training should be 4 years total/max. Unless you're planning to work with just a completion of all the modules which is supposedly 2 years, then that would be the case. As far as I know the industry (at least MAS) is looking specifically LWTR holders, not someone who just completed Part 66 modules. The so called Part 147 ATO should offer an LWTR, not some course and certificates that 'would lead to' the LWTR as what has happened before with certain college that served as second exam site. Please undertake such courses carefully and not to be duped with misleading promises. Courses in my Part-147 ATO just take 1.5years for B1.1 and 6 months for B2 extension and din't offer LWTR..What we need to do is just passing all the module exams as well as practical accesment and find a job to complete our journal(work schedule) with minimum 2 years requirement, then we getting LWTR. So without LWTR, we have to start as Apprentice or Techniciani guess?

QUOTE(Learjet35 @ Apr 23 2017, 03:57 PM) Yo george..easy lah that one,pls contact your qm to contact the local NAA desk officer who oversees the mro that u gained OJT from. It just a letter saying that the qm who signed your application is the qm for that mro and the mro is part 145. Metal&composite structure is ojt task? yo, Anmar, I gave them the letter from DCA stating XXX is XXX company's QAM and also 145 AMO certificate stating compliance AN6501 as well. At the end, CAA UK say that's Form 4 and they don't need that... lol... Yea, evidence of metal & composite structure assessment, no idea what they want though, waiting for reply probably tonight... but my B2 experience they said sufficient... For those who try to apply EASA license, you require a supporting letter from DCA. Recently, DCA head of licensing department will not issue this letter anymore. It means that you can't apply EASA license. So my suggestion for those who taking EASA, its the right time you can report to MACC to investigate Mr. Kamal since it's election period. haha... maybe he is monopoly the training school in Malaysia, who knows. lol He is already blocking for license conversion, he even block for those apply EASA license, what else he want. Damn power abuse

QUOTE(Learjet35 @ Jun 22 2017, 11:57 AM) Bro DCA do not want to issue or he himself dont want to issue? Kamal don't wanna issue. and he even ask others don't go to issue it. Mine one is lucky enough to get. The one (no name mention) who issue me say this is the last one. Malindo and AA also ask for it too.. This post has been edited by georgepang: Jun 25 2017, 12:12 PM
