Okay thanks for the reply. There is no other job that requires EASA right other than LAE? And another question, does the work schedules can be collected from any live aircraft companies? I heard AA is not EASA part 145 recognised? But then how people becoming LAE from AA? Can you explain me with this?
*
Ask yourself, what are AML for?

Not all,at least in Malaysia the company need to be dcam 145 plus the company have an aircraft that cover broad range of ATA chapter.

Im mot sure since my company is not dcam 145 approved, but as per my understanding they need malaysian license to sign 9m reg aircraft.and for european registration then only require easa license, this doenst include company approval etc etc.

Do u know that u are requires to in uk for 2 years before u can get type rating endorsed on your license?

And if want to work in malaysia, easa license is not really have market unless the company own eu reg aircraft.

Basically you are saying that if in Malaysia, dcam 145 approved companies can collect work schedules. And after five years, give all the documents to UK and get the caa license, then convert to dcam license by doing mod 9 and 10? By that time, we could sign 9M aircrafts right?
*
Not sure on the conversion process but its something like that as im still collecting few more work sched after they reject my application recently.

anybody cross this ata chapter before ? i have work on Lear 35,Lear 45,Lear 60,G150,G200,G550,but didnt cross anything related to ATA39.

I also have emailed to CAA,she said i need to give a letter and explain why i couldnt obtain the chapter 39 to the surveyor so they are well aware of it.

Hi, my nephew is interested in aviation industry. He is from melaka. I came across International College of Yayasan Melaka offering Diploma In Aircraft Maintenance Technology (DAMT).

Below taken from their website:

This comprehensive training prepares graduate to be readily absorbed in aviation industry such as airlines, maintenance and repair organisatios, aircraft vendors and also avionics repair stations or workshop.

You will study for your Diploma and Aircraft Basic Training at leading institutions in Melaka.
You will develop the range of unique management and generic study skills, techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in working life.
By studying for the Diploma you will also cover the DCAM Part 66 Cat ‘B’ License Syllabus and will undergo aircraft basic training in house.

This modular diploma program is unique where after completing the program the student may sit for our ATO Part 147 collaboration, assessment and continue the Part 66 OJT program in an approved MRO Part 145 before can be awarded an Aircraft Maintenance License by DCAM or EASA.

http://www.icym.edu.my/v13/academics/homeg...ology-damt.html

Will like to seek advise and opinion from senior in this field..Good to go?
*
Pls ask them

1.cover which cat B license syllabus ? b1 or b2? If b1,is it b1.1 or b1.2 or b1.3 or b1.4?

B2 is avionics,
B1.1 is fixed wing gas turbine,1.2 fixed wing piston,1.3 rotary gas turbine,1.4 rotary piston.

2.when they gonna sit the part 66 exam?

3.what is his target? Become LAE?

4.confirm ojt placement after completing the program in a 145 organisation for 2 years?

5.please call dca and ask about this school

6.normally the course name is aircraft maintenance engineering b1/b2..not this aircraft maintenance technology.sounds fishy.

Idk about your company, but as for mine we hiring B2 lae in april and 2 tech in May..and many of my friends made to airasia, airod, etihad(interview in brisbane last oct) and subang Augusta.

But we as company also stay out from Mas employees as we had bad exp few of them.

The people who going to join them are from Admal and Berjaya.and this people recommended by our staff as we only want who are very helpful and loyal to company.

hi may I know what kind of bad experience did you have with ex mas employees?

my company is looking to interview some.
*
This doesnt apply to all,but i think its because to their work culture in MAS..in GA,the engineer normally the one who doing the job with technician to assist them.but seems like they take things for granted by relying 100% on the technician.and its more talk instead of action.

Hey and greetings to everyone! I'm new here and I have just finished my SPM and obtained my result. I'm interested in being an aircraft maintenance technician, but I'm wonder would it be very hard for me to pursue the study as I'm average performance student who barely to pass all the subjects in SPM. And between aircraft maintenance technician and engineering, what is the main difference that distinguish this two? And is there any recommended uni for me to take this field as my study?
*
Become technician then persue your license to become engineer.

I got 8 for physics during my spm time but that didnt stop me..

Try APR subang or METC subang. Goodluck.
