thesun already sums it up pretty nicely. thumbup.gif
just do the best you can. they don't expect you to know everything but if you do know, it shows that you're interested in the subject matter and that will certainly help you going through the course..
all the best med!

The term black in 'black box' does not refer to the colour of the box but a slang referring to the FDR and/or CVR.
Infact the term black box can generally mean any electronic box.

Refer here: Black Box.

Well vortex gen creates vortex.. laugh.gif

Good pointers azameel.

and remember these few things

Black box is not actually black, it is orange and
vortex generator is not an ac generator nor dc generator  tongue.gif

Remember, to established as an LAE, you need to be TYPE RATED.
If you have only LWTR, either via EASA or BCAR, you're nothing yet. You have NO priviledges with LWTR alone.
It would normally take around 5 years(minimum) to be established as an LAE/LAME.
That 2 years you mentioned is the OJT requirements to get LWTR, not to be LAE just yet.

I just read the thread before this....and i have a question !!   icon_question.gif

U guys said that miat graduate had to work only for 2 years to be LAE...
So... What about Nilai... ???

I thought that it takes around 5 years to be LAE ???  hmm.gif

AA as in AirAsia? shocking.gif

I know that EASA-66 Syllabus is being used for their ET (Engineering Trainee) Programme and with Aviation Australia (an approved part 147 Training Organization) the trainees will be getting their EASA license before conversion to DCA's AMEL.

Your link is no good.. Error 404 Page not found.

And its the only one outside EU.

Gosh.. I think you better get back to basics and know the ABCs of EASA!

Part 66 is The requirements a civil aircraft maintenance licence.
While Part 147 is Training Organization requirements.

Night and day difference? It is! laugh.gif

I left out Part 145 intentionally.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(thesun @ Mar 28 2010, 10:40 PM)
sorry, what is the different between Part 66 and Part 147?

Good point, mathew!
If some of you guys are in for the money, think again!
And like mathew's advice; "you do the math and weigh your options on what's best"..

This is a life long profession. Interesting, challenging and rewarding(not necesarily in $$$ terms)
If you're in just for the $$$, this is not it. You're better off taking flying lessons and in 18 months you'll passed out as opposed to 5 years to be LAME, minimum.

You make better money selling nasi lemak or char kuey teow.. laugh.gif
