MIAT is also an approved part 147 school, if im not mistaken. right? if it is, why not go for MIAT instead of Aviation Australia?

Wad they complain about ?? Mind sharing ....
Cause i just sign up at Nilai college ...

A lot..some of the instructor, not even a LAME..and most of them run to Miat..lack of teaching method, tools and example..a lot..but,u still can become LAME,but it took longer time..thats why i said,if u have the opportunity to study in part 147 school,go ahead..

QUOTE(thesun @ Mar 31 2010, 03:26 AM)
maybe because the place in miat is very limited..
keep in mind that not all malays who went for the interview got place in miat..
from what i heard, numbers of students applying keep increasing each intake..because miat is getting more popular..

not long time ago got the Perodua Alza outdoor crash test which was done at miat.
i think that one indirectly boost the miat publicity also..

Dont worry,in last MOST meeting, they already discuss to increase the training center in Malaysia.Plus,i read the meeting minute,Miat will open a hangar in Subang Airports.I hope that time will come soon..i hope this will cheers u guys up.. smile.gif

Aviation Australia is having their next intake on 12th July 2010. Whoever interested for more information on the course and the institute, feel free contact us at the details given below for a free counselling session and also admission.

And guys, please do a thorough research before commit yourself in some colleges that are claiming that they are EASA Part 147 Training Organization. And thank you Maryjane9996 for giving the link at the EASA website which shows the Part 147 Training Organization around the world. In fact I have posted the same link under this topic many times but i guess students now days keen on being spoon fed! smile.gif

One of the advantages of studying in EASA Part 147 Approved School is you only need 2 years to apply for LAME after your course and your pathway is guaranteed! If not, you can study in any college and sit for the EASA examination on your own but it will be easily more than 5 (usually 7 to 8 years) years to get your license. And apart from this, the college also must have operational aircrafts for the students to practice and learn. Please contact us for more details on Aviation Australia and the admission process. Cheers and best of luck! thumbup.gif

There are alot of way to be LAME, the problem is time factor. You need to collect 5 years of experience.

Even you just leave SPM you can straight become LAME, if you work for an airline then.

Goto MIAT. Jr Tech is much lower entry, longer/harder path if you want to take LWTR later..

MAS JT training will b 2 years.then after that , u'll b working, earning a ur own income whilst gaining experience working at aircraft.During this time, u can apply for LWTR.

As for MIAT, u can study more to prepare for your LWTR.
