For music, you have to re-sync back to your ipod.
Apps should be fine once you restored, just right click on your ipod in itunes > back up

hey guys iv jailbroken my ipod but i still cant install any applications init...i installed the ROCK app

i tried installing the jailbreak apps but it comes out with an error message that says it was unable to install the app...

i also read that blackrain cannot jailbreak the 3.1.2 version...maybe thats the problem.

I have the fun in using this ipod touch only after i JB my ipod. Don't worry to do that. Why must you spend a lot of money to buy the application while all that application can installed by free of charge...

Hi guys just check with you all as I just have my iPod Touch 2nd Gen and firmware is 3.1.2. In order to Jailbreak is it need to downgrade to version 3.0 first and then do the Jailbreak?

maybe My Ipod has trouble with iTunes.
the OS of this ipod touch is 3.0. and now i have using the iTunes 9.0...
is it create any problem when i use this iTunes 9.0 while my OS of the ipod touch is only 3.0? (not the latest OS)

or i must update the OS to the latest OS... or just uninstall the iTunes and use the another iTunes that can understanding my ipod 3.0?

hi, im having a major problem with my ipod touch. It cant on! It was given by my friend and this ipod was not switched on for a long time.. So i am guessing its the battery that is at fault.. Anyone can help on where i can repair and find the parts for this ipod? Its would be absolutely appreciated... Please...... thank you

The function of usb is to transfer files between that ipod and the computer. Another function is to recharge the battery of the ipod.

So that, i suggest you to connect your ipod to the computer by using the usb cable. If it doesn't on, just wait for hours.
After about 2 hours charging, try to switch on the ipod. Make sure your comp is on while charging process.

Thank you for yr advise, but sadly it did not work.. i did try and leave the ipod linked to the computer for hours but it still does not work.... do you noe anywhere i can find and replace my battery for my Ipod?

Are there any updates on whether the MC version can be jailbroken?

Some of them mention that using the RedSn0w, but need to downgrade to firmware 3.0 first. Not sure this works or not as mine also MC model.

i went to 4 different Machines shops(Apple dealer) already. Since my warranty i way over due, all of the people there told me to just get a new one or trade in my one for a new one but still have to pay hundreds. It was till i went to Youtube and saw there are ways we can open and replace the battery. So i was just wondering if there is there a shop thats repair an Ipod Touch that i can go to? Some where around KL city center? It would be great if u or any1 can help and take away my despair which has been on since early this year... thank you!
