btw i jb mine with os3.0 with redsnow 0.7.1
i din install icy but when i wanted to install app from cydia
there no details about the app after i click on the theme or app i choose
previously when i on 2.2.1 jb it will show about the details and ads
but now wont
is it normal for os3.0 jb?

The details and infos are there with the ads too. Make sure you have all the esentials updates installed when Cydia prompts for an update.

i have a question...wat if i update my itunes currently 8.1.1 to 8.2.1 which is newer thn 8.2...will it affect my jailbreakin process if i use itunes 8.2.1???da latest version of itunes??

i wanna ask that is it that most of the cydia repo is not working? Like big boss, sleepers, modmyi, even saurik also i add it says cannot use, either legacy or incorrect url.

Put it in DFU mode again, go to iTune then restore it back to original firmware then/or install jailbreak again. It works for me.

It wont spoil it. If anything goes wrong, boot into dfu and then restore to original firmware

what is the best apps for jailbreak?

If I hv to send my itouch back 4 warranty claim, I hv to restore it rite if I had JB it, do I hv to restore it to the firmware that comes with the itouch or any firmware will do?

If you are using firmware 2.2.1, then use redsn0w 0.3
If you are using OS3.0, use redsn0w 0.8 or 0.7.2

Just restore to the original firmware

i tried flashing my 2nd gen Ipod touch. I updated to theOS 3.0
then i used redsnow 7.2. it was flashing no problem. until the end, it showed the pineaple picture or something. now it wont on or start up!~! what happened?

oo it's okay, went back to DFU and restored.

sifus, i was trying to JB with QuickFreedom 1.2,i have 2 partitions C (30gb) and F (300 gb) . The QuickFreedom folder is in F,and while creating custom firmware it got stuck because C drive has only 16.0kb left,it had about 300mb in the beginning. so how do i tackle this problem ? Restarting doesnt restore the 16 kb to 300mb, where can i delete the residual files

just want to say thanks to the OP for such detailed guide on jailbreaking. Enjoying my unleashed ipod touch 2G now. Funny thing though I ended up disabling themes and just used the original one. Mxtube rocks! I'll need to learn more on SSH and Mobile Terminal. Most linux commands don't seem to work, not even ping. Still need to keep looking what other awesome and legal apps on cydia.
