with 512MB it's better to stay with Vista Home Basic

there is no reason to use x64 OS on a 512MB RAM system, only use it when u have more than 4GB RAM
and as you said, you have to change your PC to use Vista Ultimate x64

btw, what is the purpose of this thread? mind clarifying? smile.gif

i'm using 2GB ram but still feel that its not sufficient enough... but to run 4GB ram.. need 64bit OS....

i've installed vista ultimate on a PC p4 3.2GHz with 1.5GB ram...

i still feel that its not that good compared to a AMD system 2.1GHz dual core..

so for me.. i'll take a processor with at least 2 cores and ram at least 2GB to runv vista ultimate
