Depends on the shop. Many will take deposit first. Deposits can range from RM300-500 (returnable) and rental can be RM50-200 depends on the stuff you are renting. The ones that is cheap and always works is a tuxedo. If you rent those special wedding groom suits, they might cost a little more. Good luck.

I don't think there are places that rent brands here. Never seens before. But then again how many rental shops i have been to before?

Most of the shops nowdays would have normal tuxedo or wedding groom suits that are tailored in some specific styles. It could be fantasy or even modified versions of formal wear. These can be rented or bought.

The only specific rental shop i know in KL besides bridal shops is Dynasty Rental. It is located 1st floor in a building called Campbell complex across Sogo. Inside Campbell is quite interesting, there is a lot of tailors too. So is in Pertama Complex. But the only rental place is in Campbell.

Else all bridal places can rent tuxedo or some form of formal wear. I know a few photogaphy shops that rents too. Just ask them.

Here the acceptable formal wear can be at least a Batik shirt or a shirt and tie. In other countries, a suit or a tuxedo. Not nard to see why there isn't a lot of shops renting out such things.

I think royle was referring to Tom Collection in SS2.
