QUOTE(pelvin @ Feb 3 2009, 11:15 AM) rumors cannot be trusted la bro.. later wait 6 months and get a big disappointment instead how? waste 6 months of waiting.. haha i think the cheapest still NZ set... if possible get it from Magnum Mac... 8GB = $979NZ , 16GB = $11**NZ. Exchange rate only 1.9 now.. everyone is crossing their fingers for the next release of iPhone. so much so that i'm not gonna sign a contract upon my arrival in melbourne; will opt for the prepaid turbocap package instead to be used on my current iPhone 3G. no point bogging myself to maintain two telcommunication contracts.

@jackdon, Perhaps the late Uncle Lim's kind enough this year to offer some? Anyhow as what pelvin mentioned, with the drop in NZ currencies, the NZ models are really cheap! I got mine when the exchange rate was close to 2.5!!!!

The problem I faced was finding a Vodafone branch which was willing to sell without the plan. If not, I would probably be a proud owner now and not living with my K800i.
