guys, i'm planning of getting n85 this week.. i will appreciate if u guys can answer me a few uncertainty that i have..
i read gsmarena review n they have listed the below as disadvantage:

1. No office document editing out of the box
2. Not the best sunlight legibility
3. Unconvincing camera performance
4. Poor Navi wheel performance
5. Zooming in on a picture takes bloody ages

well, i just need you guys to give your personal opinions on those disadvantages.. esp no. 3 n 5.. camera wise, i would love to benchmark with SE902..

Are there any more disadvantages that u guys feel that its giving you a hard time? pls feel free to point it out to help up my decision..
thanks in advance

office document editing i think you can find some app for it..those ahem one
for no.2, if you set your light sensor correctly, not a problem at all..
camera slightly better after firmware update..i compare it with my 7.2mp digital cam, having the same quality..but n95 8gb definitely produce a better picture..the video recording is superbly awesome..navi wheel is practically useless..i believe we off it most of the time..unless wanna show off that features to friends..but it not that sensitive..zooming is smooth in my toy..

the price has gone very low now..just grab it you wont regret..most of us got it when the price is still quite high but we have no regrets either..

I'm not angry, i'm just responding to let u know what i want.. dont worry there's no misunderstanding, but sometimes in forums there are ppl who are really sarcastic who will drive u mad but i believe that u're not one of them.. wink.gif

btw, i've also heard ppl commenting about OLED lifetime only can last around 2 years.. how true is this?

forget about the OLED stuff ok..just don't bother about the lifetime..although some claim it'll last 3-4 years only..

and I've read from somewhere that Nokia is going to release more phones with OLED screen

It seems newer technology will come with shorter lifespan.. good marketing for them to shorten their

1. What so u mean? Application? have but need to get cr@cked one la.
    2. Because the light sensor have some function problem, maybe nokia will fix it in the next updates. Anyway no any phone work better than N85 under sunlight.
    3. Yes kind of, some time the quality are good sometime no, it depends on the lighting conditions that you will able to capture, refer to my posted video and pictures in the earlier post. Hopefully next firmware update will fix this.
    4. Navi wheel, i dont even bother, because after applying IS on it the Navi wheel become less navigable. Mybe can be fix by firmware updates.
    5. Zooming on picture on 5800 also taking bloody ages, hope can be fix by firmware updates also.

camera wise nokia are always lag behind SE with cyber shot capabilities. that is why rumous said Nokia is planning to get Canon lens on their phone.

actually those disadvantages i copied it from gsmarena.. i'm more concern on no.3 n no.5..
from what u say, zooming for n85 is a problem as well? well i didn't know nokia phones were lagging behind SE.. i thought after k810/800, nokia has got the edge over SE.. especially n82 vs k850, no?

i've not used nokia since the starting of its symbian era.. however, i've decided to give n85 a try as i believe its a good phone..
btw, i need help on such applications, i dont know whether it exists or not.. mostly from SE:
1) Phone Status (Battery life, memory status etc.)
2) Flash without using camera?

at the moment only can think of this 2..
is there anything i should look out for or do for a new n85?

anywayz, i'm very happy that i've bought this phone.. good phone indeed.. n thanks for ppl who have provided me feedback earlier.. appreciate if theres further help..
Thanks!

one thing i found annoying is when every time i dial through the log list, the moment i end the call, it is still running in the background.. does it utilize my phone memory?

guys, does any of your n85 casing feels loose?
coz mine is quite loose and quite flexi.. its loose in terms of free play not slide.. feels like it hasn't been screwed tightly or something, and doesn't feel firm at all..

dont know whether its related or not, but my case below the keypads have some scratches already..
