You're aware BB is just an offshot off Bonia, right? Malaysian company, Malaysian service.

Of course, the brand originated in Germany. But guess who owns it?
I can only say that it's basically Bonia under a German branding. QUOTE(SHOfrE3zE @ Sep 25 2014, 02:53 PM) |

Last I checked, they held 49% stake in BB through their subsidiary Jeco. If the name sounds familiar to you, they're the licensee for Pierre Cardin, Renoma etc. in Malaysia. BB in Malaysia is also through a licensee deal, the BB you see in Parkson etc. might not come from BB Germany.

Products still come from same source and sane quality? BB bags are no longer made in Germany, wallet no idea. Leather where are the source? So long quality is there not issue. If one cares about all these factors best get from smaller brands. Ie Made in Chicago, leather from renow tannery in usa. They claim forever guarentee. http://www.ashlandleather.com This post has been edited by patryn33: Sep 27 2014, 11:35 PM |

That's very true, quality should be first consideration above all. But this being Malaysia, brand is a very conscious decision among most. It's why you see a lot of these departmental store brands putting "Paris/Italy" etc. in their names just to create the impression of quality.
I'm quite a big fan of independent brands myself. IMO you more often than not get your worth with them. QUOTE(patryn33 @ Sep 27 2014, 11:32 PM) So what's the outcome? License to sell?
