ok~

Saga

Pros: spacious, peformance is ok for 1.3L car with this such big cabin, can me modded to good looking car, exterior design is good, seat is comfortable.
Cons: fuel consumption may varying from 0.13cents to 0.17 cents depends on how u drive, interior too simple but since it is 37k car, cannot expect more.

Viva

Pros: FC, FC and FC. super low fuel consumption, 1.0L engine is far good enough with its body weight.

Cons: small car, but good enogh for city run, not good for highway crusing, exterior design too usual.

*just saw a guy modded his saga to "3 color rear light" with TRD spoiler, damn nice...

My vote goes to Saga, i've drove both viva and new saga before, new sage absorbs bumps, uneven roads better..
Performance wise and FC, no comment.. Just drove for half an hour each.

Not Sure about Saga but recently test drove friends Viva.

Pick up is superb! other than that the car really sucks! Just can't imagine how ppl drive this car at more than 110 on the highway.

Viva = Compact, better FC if manual against manual/auto against auto, higher accessories content, more expensive, compromised interior space

Saga = More spacious, better load carrying abillity, better performance espeically pickup between 80-120km/h, lower accessories content, cheaper

Those are the facts when I was comparing to get which car

BLM 1.3 Auto
I measure in KM/liter

The best so far that i can get is about 10.97 km/liter (Seldom on aircon though still got on - single driving, partial highway partial city)
or about 10 km/liter (Always aircon, with passenger, and extra stuffs, partial highway partial city - aircon lo)

My mileage about 3XXX km ~
I noticed the FC is improving gradually as the mileage increase~~

OMG. another same comparison biggrin.gif. maybe moderator should pinned down these same comparison for future reference rclxms.gif

performance - its 1.3 vs 1.0.... of course top speed saga. pickup viva due to weight
comfortable - big guys shud stick wif saga. better try out both at showroom.
appearance - depends on ur eyes. for me, of coz my own saga whistling.gif
etc - low price & save fuel = viva (small car maaa)

if u tight on budget...just buy 2nd hand kancil. low installment..low fuel...plenty of spare parts. sorry out of topic.

-owner of kancil,saga blm,satria-

Myvi i think is out of ur budget.....just stick to viva or saga...

go to perodua and proton showroom and have a look on the car, judge it with ur own eye, to see which one is most suitable to you. Go ask brochures and pricelist from the sales person also...listen what they can offer you.

TS, u may ask for test drive session for each car.

hmm...u can listen to salesman for advice,
but to believe all what they say is a big no no.
overall, they're just a salesman wink.gif

my tips.
i always ask the salesman what is the weakness of the car.
if he answered my question right on the subject (not beating around the bush) i'll appreciate him.
if not, hah..

why i do so?
when u buy smthg, u must make sure that u'll know what to expect from the car.
if competitor's product is good, say good; don't lie.
if u're product is bad, say bad; don't lie.

it's a no fight. saga blm win hands down. engine, size, comfort level, performance....etc....
the viva feel far less solid than saga blm. it win in term of being a compact; thus easier to manouvre in tight space, and fc, perhaps.

hmm..

guys, if "milo tin" considered as a joke, i can accept it biggrin.gif
otherwise, "milo tin" situation is not a valid comparison factor in choosing a car.

*sound of "milo tin" can be supressed (make it heard lesser) by adding some rubber lining/trim at the door.
*the strength of "milo tin" may be lower than "oil barrel drum" or may be higher than "coke tin". however, the point of application of these metals will vary with the need.

in a car,
the chassis (frame of a car) is made of high strength material. why? it is so as to safely secure the occupants inside.
on the opposite, the panels (fenders, hood etc.) is made of less strength material. why? it serves the purpose of crumple-zone & weight reduction.

plz don't get fooled by the "milo tin" statement.

anyway, it's an old joke biggrin.gif

i think you should start your own thread....

1)no aux regardless or model
2)no the elite does not vibrate that badly, and its a bad idea to take this tiny car to 140... abit stupid i might even say, but up to you innocent.gif
3)oh god now i think you are just trolling.... NO perfectly working car has issues starting, even a 100 year old car kept in mint condition will have no problems starting
4)36l yes BUT........ rm 100 hmm.gif what you filling it with?? ron 100?.....

driving way over the speed limit is stupid regardless of the car man.... one could argue that amerc or beemer feels at home at 200... but noway one can make that argument on a viva

about the petrol, 36 liters... then multiply by today's petrol cost, you get your answer...

tolls, no comment, am not sure, there are many ways of getting to kl i guess... (here you better prepare a tng card)

parking in kl, well cash will do fine (its going to be somewhat mahal)... tng can also be used but there's additional charges if u use it
