Anyone here using this HTC Touch Pro with Digi EDGE service?

Hows the speed and coverage area in Klang Valley like?

I'm intending to get one for online banking purpose.

Guys, I'm intending to get a HTC Touch Pro, but before I proceed, I would like to confirm few things. So I hope TP users here can guide me here.

1. Hows the ringtone volume? Loud enough if I put the TP inside my pocket together with a pouch?

2. For the speaker phone function, is it LOUD enough? Since I'm not using any handsfree while I'm driving, so this feature is quite important to me.

3. Now here is the most important part, the main reason I'm switching back to PDA phone is because I want to monitor my bank account quite frequently. So, can TP let me view my account @ maybank2u.com just like I'm viewing it at my notebook? Is it safe to do so? (sorry to ask such Q cause my online banking knowledge is very limited)

4. How is the picture quality taken from the 3.2mp auto-focus camera? Let say compare with SE K810i?

Guys, some question just pop up in my mind.

1. How long can the TP battery last if say I use it for normal receiving and making calls, sms and maybe 5-10 times to log into my MBB to view my account status?

2. Can the TP view & type CHINESE sms without any 3rd party software? If no, is there any 3rd party software that allow to do so?

3. If I buy a 2nd hand unit, can I extend the warranty period of that unit from HTC Malaysia? If yes, how much I need to pay?

4. Lets say if I browse maybank2u.com from TP, is the size of the webpage same with I browse it from my notebook? (I ask this because I'm considering which data plan I should choose)

Say if I dail and receive calls like 20-30 per day, each of it is about 2-3 minutes and sms for about 10-20, can the standby time last me from 10am to 12am each day?

The reason I ask so is because my ex O2 mini really had a terrible battery life, so I don't really want to regret anymore by going back to WM based phone~

Does the TP has the "flight mode" option just like normal handphone?

Is it possible to use the TP as a modem to connect it with my laptop?

Guys, help needed again.

1. After I allocate the photo for cetain contact, where does the photo save at? Can I delete the photo once after the allocation?

2. How come everytime I soft-reset my TP, the ActiveSync will appear at the Task Manager? Will this drain my battery life? Whats the purpose it appear there?

3. How to check I have how many contact inside the phonebook?

it will be saved in the PIM. yes, you can delete the photo from its original path.

where does the PIM located at? inside my TP itself or inside the storage card? If is inside TP, will this slow down the speed of my TP once I hv a lot of photo contact?

if I remove the photo for that pacticular contact, will the photo be removed as well from the PIM?


Ok, just realise that there is a CS-Star CD provided together with the TP. How do I install the CE-Star into my TP? Just run the setup file from my notebook and connect my TP with activesync? Or copy the cab file into my TP and install it from there?

Btw, how come I don't see any CD that contain ActiveSync program for Windows Vista one? Do we need to download from the web? Or for Vista, it will automatic detect it?

Sorry for asking a lot of question. I just want to prevent any serious damage to my TP~

guys, anyone of u are kind enough to email me the "Ringtone Delay Patch"?

I wanted to download from the link, but the internet connection is terrible.

Plus I keep on getting complain from my callers, saying that I always don't pickup their calls... This also increase my usage which is not due to my fault.

latest build 21018.1.6.0 <--- is this the official rom or cook rom? where can I download it.

A very noob question here.

How come I can't find the ActiveSync program in any CD that bundle with the TP?

Or do I need to download it from the net? If yes, can someone pls provide the link to me.

Guys, how do I check the properties for files?

Eg: I want to know this ringtone is belows the .wav or .wma or .mp3. Like our computer, right click to check the properties. How do I do it with the TP?

Just installed CE-Star bundle with the TP, do I need to register it or just leave it as is....

Thru internet or sms?

If I do not wish to register, will it expired after certain period of time?

Anyone install the "ringtone delay patch" posted at the 1st page of this thread?

Do you face the ringtone breaking at the very 1st few sec it ring and back to normal again after that?

If yes, pls suggest a solution for it as I'm facing the problem now.

P/S : the patch did solve the ringtone delay but the problem is kinda bugging me.

Guys, I seriously need help here....

After I use the PIM backup that is posted at the 1st page of this thread, my contact list doesn't display as what is used to be.

Last time before backup and restore, it can shows the contact in proper manner.

Eg:

Alan Yap
0123344567


BUT now after I've hard reset and restore the PIM, the contact shows like this...

Alan Yap
01233445... <m>


What bother me much is the "number" of that contact doesn't fully show out.


Anybody know why is this happening? I've been hard reset for many times but it keep on like this.

And also inside the contact list, there is a tiny row of alphabets on right side showing like this

A
B
C
D
E
F
G and it continues till Z

after I've restore the contact by the PIM backup software.

How to remove this row of alphabets?

U mean like the contact number not shown in full and a row of alphabets on the right side of ur contact list?

But I remember before my very 1st hard reset today, those contact in my list can show their contact number in full and there is no right side bar with alphabets...

Sh*t, could is possible that my memory is mess up~?
