how to check what? personally i have never used official roms, plus the official roms got this sms bug (among others). there's a fix though. check the PDA section, i made a thread recently for it.

Yes, get the correct region.

@C7513, WWE simply means world wide english. there are several such roms that depends on region. flashing a different region's rom or any cooked rom requires hard-spl

wifi, GPS, and data connections drain battery life like crazy. as for backlight u can put to auto adjust its fine. make sure u properly close all programs when not using and dun let them run in background. sometimes the X button minimizes and not closes it

@cskean, it depends on what file explorer u use. try using Total Commander. Its freeware.

@uhlaw, the version doesnt really matter it should work just fine, but if u want u can unkle google it, since its freeware

roms arent softwares dude....roms are...well....roms....hard reset reverts back to RomeOS's original settings, doesnt remove ROMeOS

@oldnewspaper, i wanna add your tweak to the first post. But can you confirm that the tweak for active sync kill has been enabled? i dun see it in the list and IMHO its a very important tweak, else Active Sync will keep starting up for no reason

@eball88, paste the img file in your/garmin folder

@oldnewspaper, no kill active sync doesnt work for wm6.1 onwards. u have to open a task manager, search for a particular exe running i cant remember the name, kill it, and then one more step. darn, i cant recall since its so long since i used ori rom. always custom for me. It is possible that the new roms fixed it already. Dont soft reset your device for one whole day. See if active sync pops up under running programs
