What is the best software to stream movies from your PC to the PS3? Tversity, Nero Mediahome or TwonkyMedia?

QUOTE(myuu @ Mar 23 2009, 12:07 PM) You can also try PS3 Media Server, which is specifically developed to serve PS3s. Comes with mencoder/tsmux, so you don't need to depend on installing additional codec packs. Easy to use? just install ... then can straight see movies on PS3 stream from PC? |

QUOTE(Gfreak @ Mar 30 2009, 03:25 PM) . Just buy a ethernet cable plug your ps3 to your router. Install Java PS3 Media Server and Voila! everything in ur pc hdd can browse from ur ps3. Money for 1tb hdd alredi saved! Anyone successful turn it into a digital media center? REason for buying the 1TB external HD is because want to avoid clogging up my PS3 80gb memory... . Thanks Remember if u use external hdd for ps3 - it can only read fat32 format which is quite a pain if you have bluray mkv files |

QUOTE(ape @ Apr 1 2009, 05:11 PM) I wonder y when i use ps3 media server to stream mkv on ps3, the movie always shuttering even though i change from wireless to ethernet cable. At first i use my 3 yrs old notebook and i thot it is too old to do the job. after trying it on my fren powerful pc, the problem still remain... QUOTE(chriscym @ Apr 1 2009, 11:47 PM) My CPU hit 100% doing the transcoding using PS3 media server, I experience lag also, I tried play around the settings but not working. It could be the CPU not powerful enough. If you did read the ps3 media forums, u can adjust the quality settings n etc until no lag, or u can try using another codec which is core2avc... But if mkv playback still stuttering even if using wired, just use mk2vob to remux the file and play directly from ur hdd... it will be smooth This post has been edited by ericpires: Apr 2 2009, 10:10 AM |

Im using wired connection to my Belkin router and did a network test. Everything successful with NAT2 but below is written this:
"This router does not have IP commands or something (forgotten), chat or the communication features of games may be restricted. Why do i get this error, does this affect my gaming online? Coz yesterday was pretty laggy |

QUOTE(amduser @ Jun 13 2009, 12:08 AM) Added on June 13, 2009, 12:11 am i've been using my PS3 for months now, yes, there's a lot of dust, since after i use my car wax on the PS3, it has more dust HT doesn't really give much effect on the PS3, unless you always max out the subwoofer and place it near the PS3 |

QUOTE(shahreza2000 @ Jul 11 2009, 01:49 PM) my router n ps3 aldy have UPNP enabled... even portforward and dmz as well.... manually ... My PS3 is DMZ mode. but i disabled UPNP, should i enabled it? because all the portforward and dmz settings i enter it manuallyit all depends on the connection stability... hence the issues we're facing... |
