U may use mkv2vob to convert the mkv file to mpg/vob file in order to ps3 to recognize it. if u save the srt file within the same folder with mkv, the subtitle will be forced embedded into the mpg/vob file.

If u no need subtitle, then just use tsmuxer to convert the mkv to ts file then can play on ps3 d... the conversion time is much shorter here...

U can select the ps3 detected external hd and press the triangular button, choose display all to browse the content in yr hd.

If u press round button to browser the hd, it will always display no content..

Added on April 1, 2009, 5:14 pmI wonder y when i use ps3 media server to stream mkv on ps3, the movie always shuttering even though i change from wireless to ethernet cable.

At first i use my 3 yrs old notebook and i thot it is too old to do the job. after trying it on my fren powerful pc, the problem still remain...

can, just connect p1 modem to ps3 using Ethernet cable. or use wireless router as well.
