Those USB add-on fans doesn't do jack shit in cooling down the PS3 further. Infact, it would actually hinder the PS3's air efficiency.

RM300 will net you a 500GB HDD.
320GB HDD is only RM190 now.

QUOTE(amduser @ Apr 29 2009, 11:23 PM)
what for buying a overpriced cable while there's no difference with the cheaper one?
*
Exactly, no use.

The reason why overpriced cables exist is to rip people off, its that simple.

Just a question, when I download a 350 MB file that plays for 47 minutes or so, how come it's sooooo clear on my ps3? [I know I sound stupid but I just tried playing an episode of Chuck and House on my PS3 and now, I cannot watch it on anything else]. Does the PS3 upscale such files or is it magically clearer on my 32 inch TV?
*
Upscaling?
IINM, upscaling only takes place for CDs or DVDs. I'm not sure on file formats.

A can of compressed air would do the trick.

You wanna wait until GT5 comes out?

That'll be as good as waiting for Duke Nukem Forever.
So buy the PS3 now.

If you're so afraid, just reformat your pendrive before stuffing it into your PS3 then. Problem solved.

Its extra another 80GB HDD space.
And you know how Sony and SE works anyway... besides, it is technically for Japan only. Looking at the market there, japanese people would gladly pay no matter the price for their favourite sort of merchandises.

Not worth it for us maybe... for the japanese peeps, everybit as worth it to them. Or else the PS3 wouldn't have kicked the hell out of Nintendo's ass in Japan the entire month.

If you register MY PSN, theres no demos, trailers, or any sort of content in the MY PSN store yet(or if there'll ever be that is).

As for wh you can't use custom avatars on your PSN ID.... go ask Sony. Stupid I know, but thats the way it is.

My HDD is FAT32 format and i have some wallpapers inside, when i plug it into the PS3, it detects but it keeps on saying "no data <sumthing>". Any advice ?
*
You didn't place it in the right file.

In any case, just press Triangle and select Display All. Then you can find what you need easily in your ext.HDD.

Guess I'll take horizontal position then although it does took up some space.

IF put in vertical position I'm afraid it will fall down LOL.
*
It'll never fall unless you kick it over.
The bottom base of the PS3 is big and stable.

Doesn't make much of a difference really, just put it whichever way you see fit.

QUOTE(panda-man @ May 13 2009, 12:57 PM)
i keep my ps3 vertical. so far no problems. the only thing i get worried about is dust going through the lobangs at the top. hmm.gif

No idea whats going on with the warranty issue you have there. Some others may be able to help.

As for the USB cable... take it off if you want. Then come realizing that your controller will run out of juice about 2 hours later. Initially your controller's battery life will detoriate in the long run as well.

i can play game for few hours without problem need to charger the controller...
*
DS3/SIXAXIS uses Lit-Ion batteries. New batteries are fresh, if you used them till the brink of no more power at all before charging them to full... it may harm the battery's life in the long run. Its just the way it is.

And yea.... the controllers that come out of the box, basically has pretty much no more juice left in them even if the PS3 indicates there are 3 bars full.

guy, is that posssible to connect my normal microphone to ps3? my mic is siberia headset's mic. where to plug?
*
If its a USB mic just connect it to the USB port, then setup through accesory settings.
If it is using a 9mm jack, then sadly you can't use it. Unless you find a USB-mic jack converter, which I don't even know where to find.

Don't make it sound confusing, games are NOT region locked. Their multiplayer components however, may or may not be locked.

It is to cut cost.
PS1 games are done via emulation anyways, so it isn't much of a matter keeping compatibility for it.

As for the PS2, while emulation is possible... it still needs the GS(Graphics Synthesizer) to run the games. If not, majority of the games will be filled with graphical glitches, slowdowns and what not.

Sort of the same scenario if you use a PS2 emulator on your PC and try to play a PS2 game.

What sort of monitor do you use?

GRID is locked in 720p, if you de-select it and force it into 1080p it automatically switches down to 576i(no such thing as 520i).

Same goes to Rag Doll Kung Fu. HAWX is also another 720p only game, forcing it into 1080p will bring the game down to 520i.
