I wonder izzit better to put the PS3 in UPNP mode or DMZ mode? currently using DMZ mode but have some connection issues while online gaming.
*
my router n ps3 aldy have UPNP enabled... even portforward and dmz as well.... manually ...

it all depends on the connection stability... hence the issues we're facing...

Nope. Apparently i got this 80710102 error. That would mean, one of my IPs is in conflict with the PS3.

But... How come that would happen even when I use static IP? The only way i got my PS3 to get in contact with the router was through WEP. WPA timed out. WPA2 I remember it doesn't work.
*
can u set ps3 ip outside dchp range (set by the router)? give it a try...

OK, if I set outside the DHCP (as shown in router), that would mean if say my allocation is 50, meaning from 60 i should start correct? (Assuming its from the 10th IP)
*
give it a try... also if u portforward/dmz... plz change to the designated ip u've selected...

keep doing connection tests... plz do inform us where it fails...

Tried it, failed.

I should say a few things also. I used my modem and made it in bridge mode through this blog's method. http://amznill.blogspot.com/2009/03/how-to...h9200p-dsl.html

I'm puzzled that it enables DHCP. But, i should say that I'm very horribly blur about the process here. My Wii and DS works like a charm, but my PS3, failing.

which part of the connection test that it failed?

After numerous attempts, it seems that my WRT54G is unable to connect to the PS3 with the Internet due to its version of firmware. I have to resort to a new router. Sigh...
*
apparently WRT54G v7 had a lot of issues...

since there's a patch for it.... to v7.00.6 ....

what is the resolution that you selected? 720p? 1080i? 1080p?

EDIT :

from this website : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218040222132

"DVI-D with HDCP Input - No"

Is this the cause?  hmm.gif
*
i thought this lcd monitor model does have hdcp support

http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/dell-...?tag=mncol;psum hmm.gif

you must try set hd resolution 720p at least...
