QUOTE(D.Sync @ Apr 20 2009, 12:14 PM)
What is the common save file size for games like GTAIV? If I didn't plan to put demos and movies in it, just playing games from Blu Ray will 160GB be sufficient for me? I watched downloaded HD movie by connecting my laptop via HDMI output /gg. So I didn't see the need for that. BTW how much is the file size for a game demo? My downstream in my home is only 60KB/s, tops.

BTW the current price for MY set 160GB is around RM13xx-14xx right? Is there any shop selling it at MidValley/The Gardens?

I got an 30'' Sharp Aquous LCD TV and I plan to play PS3 on it. Will it sustain any faulty problem if I play it, say 5 hours per day?

Added on April 20, 2009, 1:04 pmI had also read from GameSpot saying that XBox360 render texture more sharply than PS3. Any comment from PS3 player about this?
*
Midvalley got few shops there... dont know the price... get from sony style... its highly recommended

Your connection seem ok for online gaming... provided that its stable...

some games installed in ps3 hdd only take btw 3 - 5 gb space (capcom and ubisoft games apparently), others games need less than few mb only... fully utilizing the ps3 bluray drive rclxms.gif

5 hours?... we all here play 24/48/72 hrs non-stop still ok thumbup.gif btw few weeks ago done 12-hr ps3 gaming at MMU

gamespot only says few games (multiplatform titles), cant compared to any ps3 exclusives... period! thumbup.gif

how play on9 with PSn.. i mean play on9 with streamyx.... i have tried before

get DNS error...
*
in ps3 network settings, under primary and secondary DNS, put streamyx DNS.

usually DNS error can be caused by the router firewall blocking the psn connection. Put ps3 ip into DMZ or alt portforward.

Hello all. Im a new ps3 user here. Just wna ask something to clear my doubts.

1. Does a ps3 heat up easily? I played mine for 1 hour and it is hot already.

2. Does ps3 graphics lag slightly? Or is it depending on game? My re5 does not lag but my assassin creed lags slightly.

Any pro here can help clarify ? thank you.
*
1. The console is still fine.. heat is normal for current generation console.... unless ur ps3 generate excessive heat like oven...

3. Gfx lag slightly depending on the game... ask assassin creed developer y ps3 version lag slightly... other than that some games have mind-blowing jaw-dropping gfx..

cannot use debit card in US PSN? US PSN card is expensive wat I saw at Play-Asia.com. if we convert it from USD to MYR, we have to pay extra RM25 than the actual US PSN card. Here the link

Play-Asia.com US PSN Card

Any I have suggestion where to buy US PSN for more reasonable price? I want to buy USD20 US PSN Card.
*
for that price u paid from play-asia... its worth it... even tho a bit expensive... havent found cheaper ones under RM90....

preferrably get the USD50 psn card... thumbup.gif

Using msia cc on R1 and R3 content should be no problem ?
*
DLC info - check the game disc casing which region specified... DLC is region-locked btw (vorchiel aldy clarify on the 1st page of FAQ)

- R2 - UK and EU psn stores - only can accept UK CC or EU CC.... no psn cards atm

- R1 - US psn store - Entropay, US PSN cards (USD20 & USD50), US CC only....

- R3 - Asia psn store (SG, HK, MY (soon???)) - can use MY CC.... guys, plz provide more info on this issue...

- R4 - AUS psn store - Only Aussie CC can be used....

Some quick question here: How am I suppose to know whether a disc DLC is for which region? For example, I don't own the Naruto disc but I can download the DLC from PSN US. I don't want to buy a wrong region game end up not being able to download any DLC on it?

Also, is the DLC content for each PS Store is the same?
*
If u want to download DLC from US PSN store, make sure you have R1 version of the game.

DLC content for each PSN stores are the same, just its coded to fit specific region of the game.

edifier M2300...
my "green" wire already connected to the pc....so the only input is the wired remote control(which is usually for headphone)...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
i dont think u can connect to the "input", the one in the wired remote control, coz its output sound to the headphone... dont think u can connect there...

u have to connect to the "green" socket, as the green wire i presumed is the input, thus how the pc connected to the speaker for sound output...

i think u have to disconnect green wire, and use the wire u have showed earlier to be plugged in to the ps3 instead...

Added on May 23, 2009, 10:20 amY dont u connect to AUX input instead?

Hey peeps!, noob question here.

I connected PS3 to LCDtv using HDMI, its sounds comes thru LCDtv's speakers but theres no sound comes out thru my surroundsound system.

Is it because my surroundsound system doesn't have hdmi, so it sound doesn't comes out from there?..

If i connect PS3 optical-out to my surroundsound system, does that work?.. or its theres any other ways?..

Thanks in advanced smile.gif

Cheers biggrin.gif
*
u can use optical straight to ur surroundsound system, provided u select the option in sound settings at ps3 XMB...
