Dear all LYN CF members,

I would like to introduce PJ Caring Home in Old Town, Petaling Jaya to you. This is a mental illness home. There are total of 130 people age range from 19 years old till 80++ years old staying in this 5 houses around in Old Town due to suffer from different type of mental illness. They have no support from government too, everything are open to public for donation. As for the homes, they are helping those people to recover, take care of them and send them to hospital.

This time around, I hope to have some donation in form of dried food such as: rice, bihum, noodles, and so on for them and also pillows and mattress. For your information, they need to change their mattress every 6 months due to urine on mattress and health issue for the elderly. Of course we will be providing them a lunch on 21st February 2009, Saturday, 9am.

IF anyone have any transportation problem or need help in getting to that place or need direction guide, please feel free to call me or Vincent.

I will be meeting some people at ss2 BHP Petrol station at 8am onwards and will depart from there by 8.30am sharp. So if you are not sure where is the place, you may follow my car from there.
At around 8.45am, Vincent will be waiting at meet up point - IN FRONT OF PJ LIBRARY- Please call him once you reach there.
Girls, I need some help in helping the make up for the Ladies from the home as most of them will be participating in the competitions.

The schedule of the day will be as like below:

9am - 11.30am - meet up at the home and arrange the tables, chairs, food, transfer the people from another house to the party house and we will be having a short briefing session.
12pm - Lunch start
1pm - first activity : Singing competition
2pm - Second activity : Dancing competition
3pm - Third activity : Guessing game
4pm - ice- cream plus dismiss

I hope all of you enjoy this event as this will be a very interesting one.

Dear members,

Please take note that the timing for the event has changed to be earlier, we will be starting off by 12pm sharp, thus meet up will be earlier than that, for the time being will be around 10.30am meet up together. As for meet up location I will set it at a place easier for people, this time around I will be having people to guide for those who are coming late.

Another thing, we will be having 3 activities on that day, which will be singing competition, dancing contest and guessing game. I do need volunteers to help in leading the activities and also take in charge of it.

Anything please let me know as soon as possible, most likely we will be having our first meeting for this event by next week. I will send out the memo and agenda once everything are done.

Dear everyone,

I will be coming up with a few station on 15/2/2009 (Sunday), from around 12pm onwards around in PJ/Sunway/Puchong/KL to collect items if any of you wish to give any donation to the people from PJ Caring Home.

Items needed will be listed as below:

1) Flour
2) Rice
3) Bihum
4) Bread
5) Canned food
6) cooking oil
7) salt
8) suger

Materials
1) Pillows
2) Mattress
3) Clothes (Can be old clothes too)
4) Prizes for games
5) Paper plates, fork, spoon, garbage bags.- sponsoring by softly
6) Books/Stationary
7) Adult pampers

Station will be as below:

1) PJ ss2
2) Puchong
3) Sunway (Caltex opposite of Sunday Pyramid)

I will update the list again for the station with the contact of person in charge so you guys may contact them directly.
This is to easier on the day itself so we will only focus on the lunch and activities but get the donation part done.

Don't worry about it, I will tell you how many people you need to ferry from Taman Paramount LRT Station, definitely you will not overload.
