Any of you guys notice that Nescafe - the normal black bottle - does not taste like it used to?
Something is different, the usual aroma is missing and now you need more for one cup.

I've noticed the difference since 3 or 4 moths ago.

nescafe always tasted like crap in the first place.

dun think there's any instant coffee that tastes decent. canned ones are even worst but unfortunately an necessity on those few days when you're in a rush.

in my limited knowledge those ungrounded coffee beans that you can buy from the gourmet coffee stores are the best you can come by here. get a good grinder, espresso machine, cinnamon sticks and quality syrups ( or the unaltered substitutes...why use vanilla flavoring when you can use vanilla beans) or those expensive bags from the upper scale supermarkets, like marketplace in gardens, and the such.

as for instant coffee...i really have no idea which kinds actually taste good. sometimes they taste quite disgusting. (nescafe 3 in 1 comes in mind) Only gulping these down when i need the caffeine kick.

maybe you have some suggestions? I dun live in northern kl, so im not familiar with imports.

On another note, all these food stuff are constantly having their flavours changed according to the current times. A milo now and a milo 10 years ago would taste different.

I recently switched from Nescafe to Indocafe... seems smoother, not as much sour aftertaste.

Anyone else find Milo sweeter than it used to be?
When I was a kid (20+ yrs ago:P) I made Milo with 2tsp Milo + 2 tsp condensed milk + hot water and it was just nice...

Recently as an adult I tried that same recipe and it was too sweet blink.gif Now I make Milo with no condensed milk at all, just coffeemate. I was talking with my colleagues about it and they agreed Milo is better with no added sugar.
