Hi,
Let me chime in - 5 days work, 20 days of annual leaves per year, comprehensive medic coverage, optical/dental plan, performance-related bonus plan, very active recreational activities/social events, in-house games room, excellent career advancement opportunities, very good work culture and work-life balance.

We are actively looking for Web Developers for C#.NET, C/C++, Perl, and Javascripts. Opened to fresh graduates, junior and senior levels.

Please ping me for further enquiries.

Cheers
I beg to differ.

About work life balance. In Experian Decision Analytics no one is made to work past normal hours (9:00-5:30). I encourage people to go home and enjoy their lives with families & friends.

Where is your experiance different?

That's great for DA then. However there are different products in Experian Malaysia and each team works very differently. Some other team(s) might not be this lucky to have such an understanding lead taking charge.

Why, it is no surprise the the HR Director would stoop that low to insult either a potential candidate or an employee.

Well, this thread is mainly dead now. For new potential candidates who're thinking of applying to Experian, you're probably better off elsewhere.

Hitwise is losing their QA like arteries lose blood. Apparently it's because of the relatively new lady manager.
If you're thinking about joining the QA team, you should heed the sign.

Cheetahmail's turnover rate? Well, it's been pretty bad last year. This year saw a few left.
There're dissent among employees. Griefs mostly caused by managers who don't know what they're doing.

Experian isn't as great as what it used to be (or what they claimed to be).

mbcx4jrh, why don't you tell us why you left?

well no offence, a post like this from an account with the name 'Throw Away Account' and only 3 posts doesn't really scream credibility to me. Care to clarify some details other than guesses and hearsays?

I don't have to back what I say here with credibility. It's a online forum. Anonymity is afforded as long as anyone wants it. Whether readers take what I say with a pinch of salt is up to them.

If I worked in such an environment, there is no way I'd been seen criticising the management any way they could trace back to me.

Ditto. If I were to "clarify some details" with my usual account, you'd think the management won't figure out where I work and who I am? They'd sooner swoop down to me and haul me for some scolding or firing. I'm not careless enough to dig my own grave.

If this company is truly good, why isn't anyone else singing praises lately. Gone are the good old days?

[Edit: added longer replies instead of a single "Ditto"]

I went as far as second interview for a Senior PHP Developer in hitwise long time ago, I got to talk to Daniel Walters the head of development and ask him lots of questions about the internal workings, culture, values of hitwise. Personally i think he is passionate about what is doing and he believed in what he is doing. hitwise scores high marks in my books. I don't really know what happens in cheeta or DA but I would love to try again to apply to hitwise if there is an opening. So yeah, I have an indirect link to Experian, hence, I modified my comments to reflect that. And yeah, I know the culture, how performance are measured etc because I asked and I got a tour and I have friends who is still working there.

So i am keen to hear some real stories from another angle so that i can make an informed decision in the future

Joe, just my honest 2 cents - i feel you are really angry with the company, i don't really know what happened but come on dude - we don't look back in anger.

"I don't have to back what I said" - there you go, u just destroyed your credibility yourself. It is true that you can say anything you want without backing it up. It just makes your story unbelievable and very close to a troll.

No company is truly good or bad - even i know that. If you can find a company that is all good, let me know first thing

See, DarkAeon, you said "I don't really know what happens in cheeta or DA". So who better to tell the situation in Experian? You, an outsider, or me, an insider?

Experian comprises of different business units/office and each has its own culture. Hitwise used to be really good, or is still good. They've never had anyone leave in the first 2 years of their establishment, until recently they see a throng of QAs leave, one after another. Their QA team shrunk almost by half in just half a year. The developers team seems to be doing good, thanks to good managers. If you have to join Experian, pick Hitwise Software Development. Can't say the same about other teams in there.

Cheetahmail is known to have a Chinaman head that leads a team of many managers who don't seem to know what they're doing.

QAS? They've had people leave after just a few months of joining.

DA? Who better to tell what happened apart from Joe?

I don't know why you want to thank me for you just said I don't have credibility and my claims are wild and unsubstantiated.

So I said something good about Hitwise Software Development and suddenly that's a lot more believable than the bad things?

I love the contradiction.

Edit:
BTW, I don't want to continue the argument about my claims being wild or that I lack credibility and shit.

I don't care about credibility. I never once asked that anyone believe my claims. Anyone here is free to take what I said with a pinch of salt. Or lots of salt.

Added on September 8, 2012, 10:21 amAlso, Hitwise yearly increment and bonus % is measly.

If you want fatter paycheck that grows exponentially faster, join Cheetahmail. If you don't mind the Chinaman head or the work environment. Hitwise people always get jealous at Cheetahmail's bonuses.
