One question here, the WinMo 6.5 is it meant for TD in the first place? Would we be able to get it via HTC?

QUOTE(Baronic @ Apr 18 2009, 10:36 AM) I second this. Version 2 was great. Version 3 will be even more awesome.I would say forget about Manilla 2d and TouchFlo 3d. Mobile shell should be the de facto mobile desktop interface on every WinMo device period. Good question but I doubt there will be any official download for TD but I'm sure it will be the standard OS for TD2 instead. But this doesn't stop those chefs at XDA to port it over to TD. Heck, I even saw a port for HTC Touch Elf the other day (even with OMAP processor). This post has been edited by nas: Apr 19 2009, 08:39 PM |

QUOTE(rastaroofus @ Apr 19 2009, 01:32 AM) I used Zagg Invisible Shield (IS) and I agree, it's sticky but easier to get in Malaysia and protects your TD extremely well. cool..any pic can show? However, I recently got BodyGuardz and it's a lot better. It's not as sticky, the cuts are better and it's clearer and I highly recommend it if you're used to using IS. |

QUOTE(X.E.D @ Apr 18 2009, 08:23 PM) 6.5 ROM - use either uDK's 21500 or ND4SPD's 21500. I was using UDK's one for about a week and it is quite stable. I tried ND4SPD's one too. I'm going to try Seatone's one as I type now. It seems his one is based on RC1 which means almost final release. Most of the chef's are now playing with this version and should have something out once they've ironed out some bugs.I couldn't download from Rapidshare due to the frikken crappy speed so I got the uDK's. Flash as usual. BACKUP AND SYNC YOUR PRECIOUS HONEY CONTACTS AND DOCS FIRST After that, go to the WM6.5 theme thread in XDA- Devs. Download & Install 2 cabs (Trustedcerts and the Mystic thingy) The really nice UI is the Windows 7 Titanium project with the Blue skin made by the same author. |

QUOTE(roticanai92 @ Apr 19 2009, 04:21 PM) I found this review. My personal view is that they're not really the same. There's a slightly different feel to BodyGuardz. It's less sticky and more clear. The cutting of the pieces are a lot better too. The package comes with two applications so that's nice. However, like IS, it's a dust magnet at the edges. I've also noticed that IS turns yellow after a while, so far not the same with BodyGuardz. What do you hate about IS? |

So, i dont think there is a need to be worried. But mind me asking, does the price differs alot? The thing is, u need to remember if sending over for warranty to Singapore is off now trouble to you, then there should be no problem in getting Imported Sets. Regarding the GPS, there wont be any problem. Heck, i can even install Singapore's map into the GPS just that it wont be able to locate me |

Well, the 2.03 rom is the latest firmware available directly from HTC. If you want to upgrade that, download it via HTC website. You will need to key in the Serial Number of the phone. Basically, just follow the instruction listed on the site. If it says that you are not allowed to download it, switch to another region. If your's is local SIS, its basically either Asia Pacific region or SEA region.Do not worry about updating the firmware. The exe downloaded from the website is very easy to use. Just follow whatever instruction listed on the program as you progress and it will be done in about 10minutes. They are just basically plug the USB cable to the PC, active ActiveSync and launch the firmware program and everything will be done. Again, just follow the instruction. Just enjoy the TD for sure |

Not sure anyone notice this but i had problems with the touchHD version keyboard though. I am using Full QWERTY and when in landscape mode in part of the keyboard is gone to the side of the screen. Keys such as the enter key etc cant be used. Anyone had the same problem?
And is there any other better version out there? I really love the arrow keys on the HD keyboard but its not usable in the landscape mode on my side though. |

BTW, battery life is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better on 6.5 + Titanium than 6.1 + TF3D.
I'm still at 70% after 12 hours. Stock battery. Finally 1 whole day usage is okay. Idle RAM usage is 45% for 6.5 (ZOMG) vs 60-65% (and leakage) for 6.1. So RAM *is* the key, I think. This post has been edited by X.E.D: Apr 21 2009, 06:02 PM |
