Anyone knows how to setup HSDPA/3G broadband connection for the TD? I mean, i subscribed to the Maxis Prepaid BB but i got no idea how to setup the phone to actually loads from the broadband connection. Saw a few settings in the Maxis website but got no idea how to setup the "Number To Dial". And even after subscribing, i cant seem to access the internet via it. I mean, i tried loading webpages with Opera, and it said no connection detected. Heck, my FB program also says the same thing.

Any idea how to set it up properly? Or is there anything that i had disabled that caused this problem?

Yea, custom ROM. BsB WM6.5. I wonder whether we need to setup certain things or not in order to be able to connect. There is a data connection option in the comm manager. Should i enable that? And yes, i am sure the broadband is ready to be used.

Btw, anyone have any recommendation for WM6.5 custom ROM with TF3D Ver.1? I do not want version 2 because of the extreme memory usage. Felt that WM6.5 home screen are kinda hard to navigate. Still love TF3D more.

since you're using the Bsb rom, why not just add manila onto it? don't have to reflash the whole thing just install a cab

take a look at this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...&postcount=1748

it basically adds TF3D onto your Bsb Rom, not sure how it would work on the latest 6.5.1A but I'm currently using 6.5R + Manila and it works perfect

Im currently using Bsb6.5R with manila add on, quite speedy and stable

ram hovering around 60-70 % on idle, but like normal it goes up after prolonged use...however use the Ram Sweeper provided in the rom to free up extra ram once in a while and u can leave it on without reset for quite a few days

Thanks. Downloading that version and wanted to give it a try smile.gif

Anyway, i tried setting up the TD as a modem for broadband today but failed. Setup something called internet sharing and after that, everytime i connects the USB, the internet sharing option pops up. I cant get the TD to connect as disk drive or active sync. Any idea what happen? And any idea how i could use the 3G connection i have on my TD as internet connection for my laptop?

For connect as Activesync or Disk Drive
Go to "start>settings>Connections>USB to PC" and select whichever function you need.

For Internet Sharing with your notebook for browsing
Go to "Start>Internet Sharing>Connect"

Hope this helps

Well, just figure out the problem here. Not sure whether this is a problem solely on BsB or WM6.5 or TD. After you have setup Internet Sharing for notebook as following what you said above, my notebook still cant detect the internet connection. And according to some guides on the internet, they say you will need to open the Windows Mobile Center and disable USB Connection option to be able to use it. After disabling it, you wont be able to connect the TD back via a USB cable and be detected as ActiveSync or Disk Drive.

Even using another PC, the problem still persist. Everytime you connect the USB cable, the Internet Sharing option will pop out from your TD, and your PC wont detect any connection (bear in mind, i am saying even if you use DIFFERENT PC). Not sure of the problem. After sourcing out a solution, one of the guy mentioned that i will need to change the registry. Change this option :

HKLM -> Comm -> ConnectionSharing -> DisabledOnBoot -> From 1 back to 0

And the problem is solved. Maybe it might be useful for people with problems smile.gif

Did you sync your TD with your notebook before Internet sharing? Your TD should sync with your notebook 1st b4 setting your TD internet sharing
