PerfectDisk 10 Service Pack pushed back to next week -- some additional testing needed plus minor enhancements to WHS component being added.

PerfectDisk 10 has been Certified by Microsoft for Windows 7. Previous versions of PerfectDisk (2008,8.0,7.0) have not been Certified by Microsoft for Windows 7. The Windows 7 upgrade process looks to see if versions of PerfectDisk prior to PerfectDisk 10 are currently installed on the computer or if old PerfectDisk installation files are found on the computer. If found, then the Windows 7 upgrade will not proceed.

If you currently have PerfectDisk 2008, PerfectDisk 8 or PerfectDisk 7 installed on your Windows XP/Vista computer, have old PerfectDisk installation files on your XP/Vista computer, or the Windows 7 upgrade process tells you that old versions of PerfectDisk are found on your computer, then please do the following prior to upgrading from Windows XP/Vista to Windows 7:

- If PerfectDisk is currently installed, uninstall PerfectDisk. If unable to uninstall, download/run perfectdisk_cleanup.exe and reboot your computer
- Download/run DeletePDExe.exe - which will search your computer's local hard drive(s) for the old PerfectDisk installation files that the Windows 7 upgrade process is looking for and if found, delete them. For Windows Vista and Windows 7, be sure that you right mouse click on DeletePDExe.exe and select Run As Administrator.
