For those of you who are looking forward to the fixed broadband service from Celcom that was announced earlier this year, it looks like Celcom will be launching it soon. We just received a tip from an anonymous source that the fixed broadband service, called Celcom Home Broadband, offers up to 10Mbps Internet speed (with zero quota) and costs RM145 a month. As mentioned before, it will be targeted at Celcom’s existing subscribers, so there is also a special offer for Celcom First Gold users too.
Celcom Home Broadband is a service that “provides fixed Internet (HSI) and Fixed Voice (VoIP) services that uses optical fibre technology offered to residential customers which allows them to enjoy a stable high-speed connection anywhere within their home”. The service will be utilising TM’s High Speed Broadband infrastructure, similar to what Maxis is doing with Maxis Fibre. It costs RM145 a month but for Celcom First Gold subscribers, you can get a 50% discount for the first 6 months, and enjoy the offer at only RM72.50 a month. Prices displayed do not include 6% GST, which will be charged into your bill. It offers unlimited data with speed of up to 10Mbps, and also allows you to make calls at 8sen/min to all networks. ![]() |

If that's the case then if you area have no port left then how to register? Like in my area, you cancel your account today, somebody else will takeup the spot. TM and Celcom have closer relationship and would be better partners compared to TM and Maxis.
