Anyone has any clue what I should do with connexant Ac97 internal sound card driver? I am using win 7 x64 on my 3 years old HP laptop (M2205) with AMD Turion 1.6, 2G Ram, ATI M200, Connexant AC97.
I have no problem with most of the drivers came included with installation, except one crucial one which is the sound. Helps appreciated!

i am still looking for helps googling, but seem like everyone who used to own this M2205 abandon it already LOL.
its the only 'extra' PC i have now so I installed the Win 7 to try. The x64 Vista driver does not seems to work, and HP isnt of any helps.
Tried 'online' search with the Win 7 hardware wizard thing, but can't find any compatible. Currently I am using an external USB speaker, which uses std USB composite audio.

If you are dual-booting and still have XP on the same hardware, try www.drivermax.com and download the sound driver. Boot back into W7 and update the file from the driver that you obtained in XP. I cannot guarantee that it works but you can always try.
