Ah, the VF-1A is my first valk


now afraid to transform it dy, becoz got cracks in the shoulder!

it is a prevalent problem for the 1/60 v2 releases up till VF-1S Max IIRC....
my roy VF-1S, Hikaru VF-1A, Hikaru VF-1J & VF-1D came with cracked shoulder hinges (fresh out of the box, except roy which i abused more)

lemme see if i can find a pic.......

this is from my VF-1S Roy...started with some stress marks...then a large chunk dropped off one day....

need to be careful with these guys...if possible check thru all your valks to see if there's any stress marks...
i got some replacement hinges from a macworld boardie

my yamato 1/60 vf-1j shoulder hinge cracked during transformable and it's barely a day old...

i'm so sad yo...first transformable already cracked...i know about yamato's shoulder issue but i didn't know that it is THAT BAD...and maybe also i'm too used of handling my alto's DX (with superb shoulder diecast mechanism) that i forgot yamato only used hinge for the arms...

anyone can help me with this is highly appreciated...if not i'm not gonna touch it again for the rest of my life...once the hinge patah..there goes 300 bucks down the drain

i mean that dude graham must have get it from somewhere...i don't know if he actually made the mold or something

yea if possible i want more valk but not having 3 valk of the same model with one-mode purposes...not that rich leh

that shoulder hinge really killed my yamato spirits la...while the anime-accuracy is excellent but the utilization of quality-questioned material really put me off la...they can diecast the T-bar..why not the shoulder hinge lo..

i think im gonna do some DIY on the hinge..anything that can put that piece of shit hinge together..

btw anyone knows how to loosen up the shoulder joint a bit..enough to move the arms around without eventually breaking it?

THe Gundam GFFN is what scale? 1/100 r 1/60?
THe TOY fair was just ok based on the fact the organizers tried their best to organize it and providing a place where several types of toys can be found. The Hot Toys seemed to have quite a nmber of choices.... Gundam had one stall with quite a number of stock

Macross was represented by Macross of Malaysia with collection to be proud of on display...

My sadness is that no macross toys could be found on sale....the only thing culd be found was the VF1J Hi Metal....so in terms stock or looking for macross to buy...very very dissapointing...
But as it is in midvalley, you can go down to XL shop...

Me and the guys did find Robotech comics that my bro and i bought as a sourvenier from the malaysia Toy Fair...

But full praise to the organizers and hopefully they would be able to continue organizing it in the future...
