Hey guys, do you know where I can still get a VF-1S Fokker in Malaysia other than online? seems like they're all sold out... =(

Yes I asked richard about his but it's being reserved for someone else... I'm looking for the 1/60.

However, having read about the numerous complaints about the defects found in VF-1S, i.e. fragile shoulder prob, I'm having second thoughts about getting one...

I think the armored gerwalk mode is almost impossible without the stand, unless you have lots of patience in finding the right balance...

Well, even in Battroid mode my VF-25S is struggling to stand... it's like a pregnant lady trying to support her baby but with the load at the back... the upper part is just too heavy and the tiny waist couldn't take it...

After much fiddling around, this is the best I can do, thanks to the support piece provided...







There wasn't much room for the arms to move at all....

upon closer inspection, I noticed that the gerwalk support pieces caused severe stress marks on my leg armors... I think I will skip the gerwalk mode from now on especially without the stand... just too dangerous IMHO....

wow, the rifle fits in between the legs nicely... unlike the DX but very nice... u must have spent a lot of time painting the missiles...

oh wait.. i just noticed the rifle is slotted in between the hole of the stand...

can you please roughly estimate how much it would cost to get that kind of custom painting job done? need to know whether it would exceed the cost of a DX... thanks.

so indeed it cost you more than a DX somehow (2 failed attempts)
yeah the skill, time needed to construct the model kit is a turn off for me or else I would have got myself one as the slick design is very impressive...

So where did you get those? Did they come cheap? I'm looking to add to my collection too... but the dipping ringgit is not helping much

I think there are some good links over at Macross World Forums to get those decals. And then you can just print them on sticker sheets perhaps (I'm not sure about the process though)? Otherwise you can always borrow from the other Yamato VFs

A question for all you Malaysian Macross Fans out there...

I was wondering, in this economic climate, with low gaji, rising yen (1 yen = RM0.039!), rising living cost + food... how do you guys actually fund your Macross toys/models...

There are so many new Yamato and Bandai VFs coming out these few months and I have little money to get them... tolong...

Yeah loh, how? Like someone suggested here a while ago, go rompak ke?? Btw the DX Alto Armored going to come out in a bundle finally?

Well, as a Macross fan, I love almost each and every VF that appears in the anime series/movies... so should I get them all?

But they are just too expensive lah for Malaysian collectors.

I don't think the 1/100 VF-25G comes with speaker pods...

Hm.. I just noticed... but the pods are not removable.. are they? Anyway the VF100s are just too small for my liking...

Hey guys,

Has anyone here tried using nail polish to stiffen the pegs of the arm armor of the VF-25S Armored DX so that it would not fall off easily during fighter mode? How about using it to stiffen the floppy wings since the pegs are not doing much in restraining the wings in Gerwalk mode? I want to fix these probs as they're quite annoying...

And does any nail polish would do the job? Is it safe to use the cheap ones from pasar malam or should I get the more expensive ones?

I think I will try the nail polish trick once I can buy a cheap nail polish somewhere.. very paiseh have to visit the girls section/shop to get it...

Yeah the gerwalk mode is possible just that the wing armors are too heavy and causing stress marks on the supporting leg armors... and the severely restricted arms make posing difficult... i pass that mode a while ago...

Still anyone tried the nail polish trick before? honkhet? i suspect it might work but i wonder whether the cheap nail polish will erode the DX plastic...

Besides the torchlight, more importantly I heard this batch will have the shoulder pin problem fixed... if anyone is planning to sell this in Msia I will certainly be interested.. might want to sell my older 1/60 ver2 VF-1S to pay for it ...

VF-1S and VF-1J together for RM580?... wow that's really cheap...
