How to make a private number?

for postpaid maxis go apply that service its call CLIR if i am not wrong then u call ppl it shows private number

If I'm not wrong they didn't advertise the CLIR feature for the normal consumers but I did talk to a customer service before and was told that a RM5 monthly fee will be charged for the feature.

If you subscribe to this feature then your number will be hidden when you call someone. For SonyEricsson phones, if the person calling you has this feature, your phone will show Witheld instead of his number. However, I think this feature is pretty useless if you were to SMS a lot too as the number won't be hidden if you send SMSes out.

But u cant turn ur no. on and off (I mean Private No. show or not showing) if will fixed "Private No." until u terminate the service, right???

not true...we can control this using phone setting....for nokia under tools>setting>phone>call>send my caller id

this seems like a cool thing to do....i think im goin to request for priv no. next month...hehe

Last I remembered no but I'm not too sure about it for now. However, I don't think prepaid will be able to subscribe to the CLIR feature as usually this will be a privilege for the postpaid users.

Charged for the service as well..you might need to some amount depending on the provider..

for me is kinda wasting laa..for example, when u miss call somebody they cannot call u back cause of the PRIVATE NUMBER..hehe

Any idea if u were to call overseas using a Malaysian mobile phone number, would the overseas mobile phone number show ur Malaysian mobile phone number?

i think yes, because when overseas no. for example when indonesia call malayasian no. their no appear in the screen.

i'm wondering whether we cn set it specific for a certain contacts after subscribe to the service instead a global setting for this CLIR features...

go to ur respective telco n ask for CLIR
