My P1i can't start up..
sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but if the phone without the SIM card, it can start up flawlessly..

now it just hangs at the start up, showing a blank screen...
what could have happened?

Has anyone replaced the touchscreen? got any rough idea how much ?

I've not tried master resetting the phone, but when it is without the sim card, it won't enter to flight mode, hence it'll be at that screen option of flight mode or phone on..
anyway, I sent the phone in for warranty claim, they too are puzzled as to what happened..
we'll see next week once I get the phone back from them.

Hi guys I am a noob at all this Mobile phone and PDA upgrades etc... and would like to find out on how to upgrade my Walkman software on my P1i to the latest avaliable with the least amount of bugs on the software.

If anyone has details or can give me a simplified instruction on how to do this I would appreciate it.

I'm facing with this problem too.

The first occurrence was 2 weeks ago, not all SMS-es were managed to receive. When I cleared some of SMS-es, tonnes of them came in one shot. I nearly fainted when I saw two days ago SMS-es were in, some of them were important.

Then, sat there an hour and cleared the inbox nearly 2.5K sms-es were washed away. Everything is back to normal, no delay or whatsoever.
Yesterday, it happened again.
Didn't switch to flight mode but instead turning off everything, turned on again.. 6 SMS-es came in one shot.

I have reported to my telco provider - DiGi about this matter and from their records everything were sent and received promptly. Now I'm suspecting is my phone's problem. I'm so pissed off now.

I never had this issue since my purchase in last year's July.

its happen to me also last month.I forgot the error msg..
what i do is, create a new folder & transfer all msg in the 'inbox' to the new folder.I think P1i have the limitation in max msg it can stored in the main memory.

I'd used the P1i more than a year now and usually the problem where the phone can't call out, auto restarts and file browsing lag-ness can usually be repaired by a reformat of the phone. Its kinda tedious but its worth it if your phone really is annoying you. Cheers~

Note on the SMS problem:

Yes this problem has occured to me a few times before, and yes it is annoying. But I only get unreceived SMSes after a auto-restart, and I need to restart the phone to be able to receive messages properly. It happens when the phone has been switched on for too long, a few times I'd confirmed it happening after I left the unit on for 6-7 days.

On the contrary, its the most smooth smartphone I ever used. Definitely outperforms the Nokia N73. Its usually lagless unless you put a 4GB M2 stick on it and browse it when its almost full.

I got this problem once a while. But usually restarted once then can d. Now i restarted 3 days still cannot fix.
