I had played around G10. I like the picture quality of it just the camera size still not handy as portable gadget. Too bad LX3 doesn't have the Depth of field from G10. I not sure this is the correct term. The one which make others areas become blurry and clearly detailing into the center of the subject.

(I found LX3 is so a hot-item in KL.. I found it out of stock in places i went at SG wang. So, this is like a best buy camera around the town so far..?!)
*
that wan confirm lx3 got...not only centre screen..u can move the joystick all over the screen, with manual focus switch also...lx3 feature as many as DSLR..

F2.0 bokeh shot is the only way

dont play play...

MF1: The image inside the focusing area can be enlarged during manual focus for easier viewing.

user posted image
MF2: The entire frame image is enlarged. This is helpful for macros and other shots that require extra-precise focusing.

Movable MF Assist: This lets you move the part that is enlarged by the MF Assist function to any area of the frame you want.

Roxygal, thanx for the inputs..

Thanx to Seta. Another LX 3 supporter.

I feel the LX3 joystick is much more comfortable to control the AF than G10 rotate button.
*
no matter what g10 jog dial rotate button still hold an upper hand compared to lx3 joystick.

It's just that lx3 joystick menu is more user friendly and faster

Hi all, newbie here.
May I know how is LX3's IQ compared to Fujifilm F200EXR? Which is better?

LX3 battery can stand around 380 shots on a single charge? Is this considered good?

Thanks.
*
IQ alone both comparable..If talk bout overall IQ...lx3 wins...coz it can take HD video and tracking focus....

Anyway... lx3, g10 , nikon p6000 , f200exr is at the same range of camera...

if f200exr sells at rm 1 k oppose to lx3 1.5 k ..

i will get f200exr for sure.

that is a lot of different in pricing.. i guess lx3 is expensive
*
but then f200exr only has 8 seconds in manual mode compared to lx3 60 seconds...

8 seconds not enuff to do night sky

Hi all, can anyone guide me how to take this type of photo using LX3?
user posted image

I follow the guide from http://digital-photography-school.com/aperture, set aperture to 2.0 but still cant produce photo with above effect. Did I missed anything?
I tried both A mode and M mode.

Thanks.

Does anyone else face white balance problems under fluorescent lighting? A lot of my photos have been turning out greenish, despite upgading to 1.2 and 1.3 firmware.

post a picture and let me see..

We discuss bout it in version 1 already.
