wanna inquire if can recommend a 3G/3GS casing for me which can be purchased from machines/apple store. criteria:

1) metal casing
2) clip on at the back only
3) does not block the front at all. ie no frames around the phone in front.
4) must be able to protect 4 corners of phone if dropped.
5) no budget limit

would have gotten cozip but its not sold in stores. wanna walk in to stores and buy.

to me, that's enough for protecting the sides. the front of the chrome bezel is not tat important.
the main point is i can slide my finger off the edge of the screens without any obstacles.

any suggestions? speck brand maybe?

any pic of front? wanna make sure it doesn block the front 4 sides so no finger movement restriction... play games nicer. hahahaha.

damn. both machines in gardens and midvalley do not sell Incipio Feather and SGP Ultra Thin .
finally managed to locate incipio feather white in Maxis midvalley.

dont like the built quality compared to power support's air jacket set.
and i think the white incipio will turn yellow. (made in china also)
in the end decide to get air jacket set (made in japan) after comparing the toughness. now rm158 poorer

The sad thing is, both Machines in MV/Gardens dont have Incipio

Went to maxis MV only have. The salesperson so helpful. He even lend me his phone to test. Mine only arriving 31st. guess wat, he is also using the air jacket!

pls go and compare the built quality of Incipio light b4 buying. around rm96. Ya cheaper, but the quality so weak, not worth it. no protection.

my casing comes with

1x antiglare protector for LCD screen protection
1x crystal film protector for LCD screen protection

should i install this on the 3GS since it's already got it's own anti fingerprint coating?

if yes, which film should i install first? antiglare/crstal?

Tink, how bout installing both screen protector at the same time since it comes with the package?
if install both, does it matter which layer should be on top most?

there are 2 protectors here, 1 is crystal clear, like mirror surface. it's just called crstal film for LCD screen protection.
the other 1 is matted. i think matted is anti-glare and anti prints.

which 1 would u prefer if u r to choose?

yes, i am mentioning incipio light feather series. go to Maxis MV. they have quite a few series and colors there. i cant recall if got red. coz i lost insterested after touching the material.

actually protection wise incipio feather protects the chrome bezel more compared to air jacket coz it's sides are higher. just dont like the touch and feel of the material.

i just tested with the crystal clear - fingerprint marks! so keep ur matted anti-glare, no marks even though more dull.
u use anti glare on top of the 3GS coating? double anti fingerprint protection??

in the end i might just forego using both the pro screens can see how long the 3GS coating(dunno how the spell the name) last...

u can cross out Machines MV, Gardens. Just went there 2 days ago. All they have are
speckes, griffin.

but heck do they have alot of 2G cases. I thought there are forummers here who were complaining they cannot locate 2G cases?

i've been playing games on my friend's iphone for a while. for very aggressive games where u need to drag some stuff out of the screen(ie Stick Wars), the casing protecting the chrome will definitely block ur finger movement when u try to slide it off the edge.

hence when i asked for sifus' opinion here on wat case to get, my first criteria is tat it doesn't block the bezel.

as usual, everything has it's pros and cons: chrome might be dented/scrached if phone falls.

ultimately, decision is up to u.

Hi sifus, hope can advice. I have a few inquiries:

1) Is there any other machines store in 1U? only manage to find mac city and bought my casing there. quite small shop...but they have different design paul frank casings there.
2) Any anti thumbprint screen protectors out there that DON'T blur up the screen? bought SwichEasy Pure(AR), anti reflective, anti smudge. hate it. blurs the screen too much - like screen cannot focus. planning to take it off. wasted my rm79.


My opinion: powersupport air jacket does not protect the chrome surface. only the back. worse still, the top and bottom of iphone is also not protected. it's the most exp casing i have bought. (Air jacket set with screen protectors, made in japan, rm158!)
CAPDASE is much cheaper (rm79 after disc). however, gaps between the casing and phone is too large, dust can get in easily.
Considered Rebel, but think it's too bulky. Finally settled for Capsule Neo(made in china, rm139, includes connection protectors). loving it but white gets dirty easily and hard to clean. Got 2 layers: ultra thin silicon, hard plastic frame. wonder will it be too hot when charging battery

i think i change iphone casings more than buy own clothes

since u've past the 'gila casing syndrom' (i hope), curious to know u putting on any screen protector? me planning to just use the 3GS screen coating until it depletes, only then apply protector.

also, wat casing u finally decide to stick to now after ur monthly purchases?
