Say.. can we order from those Apple Premium Reseller like Machines and Mac City to bring in a specific case for me? So far the wares that I've seen them stocked up is rather limited.
Thinking of the Griffin Nu Form or Clarifi. Is the macro lens in the latter worth getting? I wonder...

QUOTE(vui_msia @ Jul 21 2009, 02:32 PM) Yeah, wonderin iclarify does any improvement on 3GS camera? Looking at the reviews of it online, it'll help with those close-up shots. Only problem with the Clarifi is that the back cover (at the middle) is prone to scratches. It's a toss up between the Nu Form and the Clarifi.

QUOTE(teikwing @ Jul 22 2009, 12:25 AM) but i thought Clarifi is for macro shots and 3GS already have an AF camera right? hmm.. Yes. That just hit my thoughts just now and was going to post it up here. Was Googlin' the Web and since there's AF on the 3GS, would it render the Clarifi's macro lens useless?

Is the screen scratch resistant? I thought it only had the oleophobic treatment on it, hence the need for a screen protector. Please correct me if I'm wrong though

Problem with alot of these Premium Resellers is that they have limited stocks on the cases for the iPhones. I went to the one in Pyramid and 1U, not that many to choose from

Think I've asked once before over here, but never mind.. I'll ask again, can we get these Premium Resellers to order a specific type of case for you?

QUOTE(kira-kun @ Jul 26 2009, 10:26 PM) hey there guys i am getting ready for my coming iphone 3gs so i was wondering would the SGP shield enough or should i get something extra such as the Griffin Clarifi Case with Built-in Close-Up Lens I was thinking of the Clarifi case myself, but its Achilles heels is the back cover which scratches oh so easily, and quite noticeable. So if you don't like to see your case looking old, perhaps this case is not for you. Plus the 3G S comes with AF (unlike the 3G), so the quality improvement for macro shots on the 3G S with the macro lens will be less pronounced.

Got my Griffin Nu Form and all set to go. Went to EpiCentre @ Pavilion today and saw the SwitchEasy Capsule Neo in the flesh. It looks might good. I'm definitely going to get it. Too bad I'm unable to stuff the Nu Form into the Moshi iPouch. That would've been sweet.

QUOTE(nitsujyuen @ Aug 1 2009, 08:44 PM) bought the CapsuleNeo, super nice..somore a lot of accessories included.. My next buy. Did you have trouble putting on that silicon 0.6mm skin? saw the video on youtube that it's quite easy to tear that membrane The PowerSupport Air Jacket is sweet, but saw for the transparent one..once it's scratched.. it looks quite apparent.

QUOTE(soonwai @ Aug 3 2009, 02:12 AM) Anyone here using the Griffin Clarifi case? I have 2 x 3GS and both are outfitted with the Clarifi case. In fact I just COD a used Clarifi yesterday for my wife's 3GS. I know the lens is no longer necessary but I just like the feel of it. In preparation for my wife's 3GS, I actually bought the Griffin Nu Form Grey as I was looking for a case that was similar to my existing Clarifi, a hard protective slider case where the bottom slides off for docking & what not. However, the Nu Form, when compared to the Clarifi, feels much cheaper and flimsier. The Nu Form has a matte finish to the back while the Clarifi is glossy black but I find that the Clarifi is less slippery. The Clarifi is only available in black. The Nu Form is in duotone grey & white with some printed square patterns at the back which I don't like. The white Nu Form looks very nice but I didn't have that choice when & where I bought it 2 weeks ago. Anyone looking for a Griffin Nu Form grey used once or twice can PM me. I'm using the Griffin Nu Form (Grey) at the moment for my 3GS. I actually like the Clarifi, but the glossy black back portion of the case attracts alot of those hairline scuff marks, scratches after awhile. The Nu Form fits well, but the polycarbonate screen protector is a little 'thick' hence making the sliding action to take off the case a bit of a chore. Either than that, it's a good and snug fit. Won't be my last case though

Does the Power Support Air Jacket shatter easily? I heard it's a highly rated case, but has the tendency to shatter if the iPhone is knocked off say from a office desk? Any idea how much is it? Maxis is selling it at the iPhone roadshow at KLCC and I can't seem to find a unit at the Premium Reseller (@ Midvalley or Pyramid). Only indication is USD34.95. Cheers! Edit: Trying to check with twinkles now for the price at LYN to see if it's cheaper than RRPThis post has been edited by sysh: Aug 17 2009, 11:29 AM

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 17 2009, 11:36 AM) @sysh, The Power Support Air Jacket ain't glass so U have nothing to worry about - don't know where U got the idea from but it's pretty hardy IMO. I think it cost about RM139 @ Machines and it comes with 2 different types of screen protector; anti-glare & crystal film. PS: Just take precaution when putting the case on, the side of it may leave slight scratches on the chrome area. Oh..my bad. Think I intepreted what I read wrongly. Think what I've been reading is that the screen might shatter in a fall (if the phone drops face down) as the Air Jacket doesn't give too much protection at the front. Question, it seems that there isn't much protection on the chrome bezel, no? Since the case is 0.7mm thick only. Darn..didn't know it comes with 2x screen protector. I just bought the Power Support Crysal Film SP a week ago.

QUOTE(unioptom @ Jan 17 2010, 11:47 PM) Depends on what style you're looking for. I've used the Colors and it's a good silicone case - plenty of drop protection but catches a lot of lint. Saw the new Torrent and it looks really nice. Kinda like the Capsule Neo but with a better grip and brighter colours. Maybe you can check that out. Say, how much did you get your Colors for? I'm trying to find out how much is the RRP, but can't seem to find it at EpiCentre nor at Machines.. (bought mine off eBay)

QUOTE(unioptom @ Jan 18 2010, 02:14 PM) Got it for RM80 from Switch in Penang. I think the RRP is RM89. They carry most of the Switcheasy range there including the new Torrent, Reptile and Vulcan. I see. Nice, Thanks a bunch.. okay, looks like I got mine at a steal on eBay. Only problem is with the color that I took (Mican), it does rub off my Moshi iPouch (Baby Blue) and the edges become green
