QUOTE(denzel88 @ Mar 16 2010, 05:22 PM) Hi Denzel,From my personal experince, thin and light casing normally can't cover full on the bazel chrome part, but will cover more than half. Maybe other ppl got try other casing that cover full of the bazel chrome. Cheer Xavinlyn This post has been edited by xavinlyn: Mar 16 2010, 05:40 PM |

Just bought SwitchEasy Torrent yesterday. I spent almost full day looking for a iPhone casing yesterday because most of them didn't suit me.
The rubbers give good protection but it's hard to slip into your pocket and it picks up 'dirt' from cloth. Silicone is too thin, and quite slippery too. Finally I tested the Torrent and impressed with the material (Polymer). It's not too thick, and has a good grip & protection too. Too bad the staff at MacStudio changed my SGP screen protector with the SwitchEasy one during installation. I don't prefer the bundled screen protector :/ But one thing I don't like is there's a round plastic at the back and it makes your iPhone spin when you put it on flat surface haha. |

"Macworld are reporting that Apple has banned the sale of film-based screen protectors for its iPhone, iPod, and Mac lines in its retail stores.
In communications with vendors that have been ongoing for "some time now," according to one company, Apple has said that it will remove both film-only solutions from its stores, as well as any case or other accessory that includes film protection as part of its package, such as cases that include film screen protectors. According to sources, the ban will impact all forms of screen film, including completely clear film, anti-glare film, and mirrored film, regardless of whether the purpose of the film is protective, decorative, or both. The reason for the removal of film-based screen protectors is currently unknown, although speculation centers around the company looking to reduce the perception that such protectors are a necessity because the devices' screens are not sufficiently durable. Another theory involves high return rates for the products due to difficulties with blemishes and air bubbles introduced by users as they attempt to adhere the products to their devices. Macworld claims that the ban even extends beyond screen protectors to include protectors and cushions designed to adhere to palm rest areas on Apple's notebook computers. Apple has yet to respond to either publication with comment on the reports. " quoted from macrumours.... |

my screen protector also got air bubble coz of one small piece of dust
but i like my anti-fingerprint SP. not because i want it for protection, but because i cannot stand the smear prints and the screen. and also it makes the screen smoother. |

QUOTE(red-queen @ Mar 15 2010, 10:38 PM) xavinlyn, Hi, wanna ask if you sold any switcheasy vulcan yet? any feedback from ur customers? bought the Black Capsule Rebel M from you the other time. thought wanna get the vulcan, change look abit I got a vulcan from xavinlyn. quite nice actually. The polymer material looks like a crystal casing but material is soft enough to absorb impacts. Covers all of the bezel. I especially like that they have covers for the sync and earphone jack. Unless, you frequent remove the casing or put it out in the hot sun, i don't think the material will sag easily. the material is much harder and less elastic than silicon. and definitely not a lint catcher. I was initially apprehensive about this due to the premium price, but after getting in hand, no regrets. |

QUOTE(denzel88 @ Mar 16 2010, 05:22 PM) Maybe u can have a look at CAPDASE soft jacket 2.. but it doesnt cover the apple logo behind so u need to cut a small piece of screen protector to protect it..I saw 1 silicon case which costs around RM110 that is extremely thin and covers the entire phone as well. |
