@jackhammer84:
haha. well, i think it's kinda rare lah. unless you keep take 'em off and put it on back. seems getting the cheapo RM10-15 ones has its logic. u see, even the thieves saw it rite, they would be reluctant to break-in. (cheapo ones = not GPS device) tongue.gif

@setoyo:
ehh didn't realize that. do check it out and inform us here yea. thanks in advance! smile.gif

@jfoong:
i've previously used IS and currently has been on SGP shield for a month. i can say i'm pretty satisfied with it. just love the crystal clear screen protector. original feel? it will add some grip to the phone. smile.gif

Is that only applicable to SGP ishield or are u talking about protectors in general. I am hoping to use bodyguarz+some form of hard casing eg: SGP ultrathin or switcheasy rebel

Added on July 30, 2009, 1:06 pmCan i ask what type of screen protectors and casings everyone is using to protect their gems...
*
SGP Ultra Thin won't fit your phone with any sort of bodyshield (IS, BG, SGP shield). but it's possible with Rebel.

Just to share something strange while I'm taking close up pictures with the Griffin Clarifi case.

I took 2 pic of my laptop's keyboard focussing on the F1 key. Camera roll showed that I took 3 instead of 2. 2 pic focus on F1 key, another 1 focus on F9 key instead.

Hook the phone to my laptop, windows showed only 2 pic, 1 with F1 and another with F9. I am sure that I only snap twice when the phone was facing the F1 key.
*
i guess that's the issue with your phone rather than the Clarifi case? it's still kinda weird though. smile.gif

@cksia:

this issue is a subjective one and has been discussed previously. trend is non-existent for cases. it's all about your own preference.

either you:

1. use it nakedly and protects it with just a cloth pouch. no bulk but zero protection.
1. apply a skin which doesn't add any bulk, protects from scratches but not drops. (or use it with a pouch)
2. get a hard case (Griffin Clarifi, iClear, SE Rebel, CapsuleNeo), which adds bulk but protects the whole phone from scratches and drops.
3. get a silicone case. less bulk, protects from scratches but not major drops.
4. resort to stick-to-the-back cases (SGP Ultra Thin etc.), minimum bulk, protects the back but not the chrome bezel against dents/scratches.

and once you have a skin on, the phone will most likely not able to fit into most cases. (except pouch and silicone cases)

so seriously, there's no such thing as a perfect case. that's why there are varieties of cases in the market, for you to choose or pair them.

just get a case which u think its the best and suit your budget, usage/the way you handle your phone. period.

@chingwooi:

i think this issue is supposed to be discussed over here.

anyway, there's currently hardly any local case being reported over that issue. warranty does cover heat crack issue as it's definitely a non self-inflicted defect.

@orly?

PowerSupport Air Jacket is quite a good case IMO. cases are suppose to protect your phone. coolness comes second. biggrin.gif

however, if you decide to switch to either Rebel Serpent or CapsuleNeo, i would suggest Capsule Neo. not too sure if the current batch of Rebel has it but Rebel used to face the bottom saggy issue. sold mine off just after a month of usage. smile.gif

@orly:
all of the cases collect dusts over some period of usage. that's absolutely normal. unless you're paranoid about seeing dusts sticking to your precious! tongue.gif

For those that use sgp shield, how long does it take for the bubble at the back of your phone to go away? I think i apply too much solution during the installing process, 2 days already and i still got a few bubbles here and there.
*
i've used up almost half the bottle of the solution. bubbles and imperfections went off in less than 24 hours.

@johnliew:
err isn't it some plasticky material rather than silicone? anyway, particles and dusts do tend to slip in the lil gap between the phone and the case and thus causing scratches to the chrome bezel. had similar experience with my ol' Rebel Tiger.

@jfoong:

i don't think i've seen SGP shield sold elsewhere except here in LYN. a fellow seller do offer installation service but he's located in KL.

@bonzaimy:
setting the brightness to full might help. that's the only gripe about mirror SPs.

@Mr. Kong:
i don't think any authorised Apple resellers provide installation services. your best bet is looking for those sellers in LYN Garage Sales. use the search button.

Seems many others place also cannot get (machine do not have)
Online search also not much review on this one.
Nice design to me but don't know about the quality
*
it's similar to the old Capdase Soft Jacket. just that it's milky/part-transparent. smile.gif

just got my switcheasy colors. its nice fitting rubber casing and feels smooth on my hand. just worried that there is not much grip on it and slip down my hands tongue.gif

p/s: i screwed up 1 screen protector as well due to dust.. lucky switcheasy gave 2 screen protectors tongue.gif
*
err silicone cases should provide you a sufficient grip. you should try using the phone without any case, it's much more 'sillpery'. biggrin.gif

frankly, i'm kinda disappointed with SP that SwitchEasy bundle with, they get scratched easily.

yes. just applied it with the squeegee that they provided... already scratched my screen protector before i even use it sad.gif

there are 2 layers covering the SP. one is the sticking to screen side while another outer layer is to protect the SP. did you remove the outer layer?

no probs. try to stick it ASAP next time. smile.gif

@sengwee1988:
it's much easier to apply if you spray lotsa application solution to the shield & your phone. bubbles should go away within 48 hours (less than a day in my case).

err it's shouldn't turn yellowish so soon. applied my nearly a month ago and it still does not show any yellowish effect.

I already sprayed the whole thing with the solution already, but still, i guess its my fault coz i not good at applying....

But mine really turn yellow already, applied since last saturday when i first got my iphone, maybe coz my hand often sweat??
*
once it's wet, it's much easier to move the shield around and adjust right? it isn't that hard. smile.gif

err maybe sweat is the culprit. is it yellowish or brownish? turned yellowish in mere few days is kinda serious.
