Hi! i have n79 with keypad freeze problem.Sometime the keypad will freeze except the on/off button.I can only restart the phone,but if the phone in lock state when freeze,i have to remove battery and put it back to restart the phone.My phone FW is 11.049.Can upgrading the FW solve the problem?Here is a few suggestion i found in internet.Did anybody else having same problem with me and try this already?

1)Upgrading the FW
2)Place a card(paper) under the keypad
3)remove the naviwheel IC

my phone doesn't have warranty and i'm not going to spent more money by sending to shop.So, please give me advice(except sending to nokia SC or shop) if you had this problem before.I'm not going to update FW if it doesn't solve the problem(afraid will cause more problem and don't know how to install back the previous FW) .Thanks..

I try to update my n79 using *#0000# and nokia software updater.Both method state that 'no updates available'.Is it because of the product code? my product code is 0568152(Emerging Asia C White/LS Blue).Should i change my product code to malaysia?My current FW is 11.049.I check at nokia website and found out that latest FW for 0568152 is v32.001.Why can't i update? Thanks..

Yes,but i already upgrade to V32.001 using phoenix service suite.I don't prefer phoenix cause there is risk of brick my phone if there is problem during upgrade.So far so good,no keypad freez problem after the update..
