Hi! i have n79 with keypad freeze problem.Sometime the keypad will freeze except the on/off button.I can only restart the phone,but if the phone in lock state when freeze,i have to remove battery and put it back to restart the phone.My phone FW is 11.049.Can upgrading the FW solve the problem?Here is a few suggestion i found in internet.Did anybody else having same problem with me and try this already?

1)Upgrading the FW
2)Place a card(paper) under the keypad
3)remove the naviwheel IC

my phone doesn't have warranty and i'm not going to spent more money by sending to shop.So, please give me advice(except sending to nokia SC or shop) if you had this problem before.I'm not going to update FW if it doesn't solve the problem(afraid will cause more problem and don't know how to install back the previous FW) .Thanks..

you cannot reflash to older firmware..

the best thing is update your firmware..

lcd is cheaper than led..

well it is avaxx set.. but the warranty is finished..

yea.my n79 was under avaxx set.wrnty over 2 month ago.
the corner of my lcd is dark.barely can see word "option"
i masked it by using black theme but it canot cmpletely cover the cacat-ness.
need to chnge lcd i guess.haish...

I try to update my n79 using *#0000# and nokia software updater.Both method state that 'no updates available'.Is it because of the product code? my product code is 0568152(Emerging Asia C White/LS Blue).Should i change my product code to malaysia?My current FW is 11.049.I check at nokia website and found out that latest FW for 0568152 is v32.001.Why can't i update? Thanks..

Change new ori lcd at normal shop cost me rm130 only..the compatible one will cost rm95..

i changed at ncc,it cost me rm157

if using Nokia Software updater also same result?
