i think ur problem is because ur back cover contact pin is not intact well.. u can go to theme and turn off the automatic theme change feature.. it should solve ur problem.. the phone detect theme change when the pin located back of the phone touches the chip on the cover.. so if the phone vibrates, the pin might "think" ur back cover is change.. so with some setting inside theme should solve ur problem..

by the way, v30 seems no major difference.. anyone notice any changes? if possible please post the change log here.. mine get disturbance during upgrading software and fortunately it didnt brick my phone..

im using the latest firmware which is the v30.. i hv no issue of locking down satellite. i dun think there is any major upgrade in this version, perhaps some minor bug fix which increase the stability had been included in this version..

1.another question, does the N79 fm transmitter works well ? i heard the sound transmitted frm speaker is nt so clear... is it true?

2.last but not least, wht is the current firmware cz i saw sumwhere on the net tht V30 is out...
3.btw does v20 perform better than v11 ?
*
1. if u place the fm transmitter near to the receiver (radio antenna in ur car or in living room) then the sound is clear and no noise. however, the signal can be easily affected by the surrounding such as metal object, tall building and etc. the n79 fm transmitter signal strength is not strong enough so please dun place it too far away from receiver.
2 the current firmware is 30.019.53.1 for malaysia region
3. v20 is better than v11, however, v30 is much stable compare to v20. at least the keypad hanging problem is solved in v30

v30 is pretty much the same with previous version.. i didnt read the changelog so i couldnt tell u wat's the different. my personal experience is the phone is smoother compare to v20. v20 gv me very headache problem which is the phone hang during unlocking the keypad. the problem solved in v30. other than that, i dun think any significant changes or updates included in v30

N79 is slow?? U must be kidding, with the new firmware, My N79 now is even speedier and works like a charm. Actually I've been looking around for a new phone for the past 1 months or so, nothing wrong with my N79, just "gatal" to change to a new phone, most probably a touchscreen phone. BUT, after doing my survey, I decided to stick with N79 for the moment, unless I want to spend RM2000 for an upgraded phone. N79 has it ALL, plus a good camera, GPS. email (push email and Nokia messaging), facebook, myspace, twitter, flickr, YM,WM, modern looking, nice size and light.

I really dont know why people are so proud telling me they are using Blackberry and E-series Nokia for business/email purposes. I can do ALL that with my N79 too, no problemo. N79's camera is way better than E71 , HTC's and ALL Blackberry phones. And its symbian, where there tonnes of free software I can installed. Now my N79 is my internet radio, really loved this feature.

Cheers

i agreed with u bro... i have been gatal gatal looking for new phone lately.. but then again, when i survey all phone, i found that my n79 is still perform a lot better than those high tech touch screen phone.. at least the gps and camera is perform far away better. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

so, for time being, i will stick with my n79 and waiting for a really powerful phone launch in future

hmm thinking of changing my n79 away and buy a new touchscreen phone.. but then again, it seems not worth to upgrade as the n79 has most of the features that i wanted.. so far, this phone is worth than anything.. price attractive + functionality good

samsung omnia 2 doesnt worth la.. coz it also feature 5mp camera and other spec similar to the n79. if we dun talk bout the processor and ram thingy i think both phone more or less the same.. furthermore, omnia 2 running on wim mobile, an OS which i dun like it very much.. not really my taste.. android or symbian 60 v5 perform much better in this case.. at least they support 16M colour screen instead of 65k in win mobile. perhaps the new n900 or satio will be my next phone.. gonna wait for n900 launch 1st.. wan try the new maemo.. XD
