so far there's only 3 lenses leaked through Sony's own inventory,
SAL1024 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 SAL70300 70-300mm f4-5.6 SAL50F18 50mm f1.8 All the other list came out on the web are just a bunch of rumours, speculations, or merely wishlists. |

QUOTE(The Wonder @ Jan 25 2009, 07:38 PM) If this lens come out it will kill the market for Carl Zeiss 16-80 f3.5-4.5... unless Sony plan to discontinue the 1680.This post has been edited by soulfly: Jan 25 2009, 08:08 PM |

Shot with IR (850nm) filter, colour channel swapped in photoshop.
Ghosting was all over the place especially when the sun is directly in the center of the frame. I think it's due to cheapo IR filter. ![]() |

QUOTE(albnok @ Jan 28 2009, 09:49 AM) WindY2K: The other thing which anybody who has tried the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC will notice, is the insane minimum focusing distance! At 20cm from the sensor plane to the subject, minus the length of the lens, and you have a lens that practically touches the subject! Try it! the Sig1770 is definitely attractive in terms of the image quality it produces compare to kitlens. My only concern is the build quality. |

Benro A300EX is slightly less than RM300 from Yamiya including delivery. Best bang for the buck.

QUOTE(kucingfight @ Feb 1 2009, 05:53 PM) eh isit juz me, or there's no audio in ep9? there's audio at the introduction of the video only personally i feel 3rd party flash is not worth to get. a lot of people who purchased a 3rd party flash will end up buying original flash sooner or later. sony flash is already cheap, why buy 3rd party?btw whats the difference with 3rd party flashgun like nissin & sunpak? inferior specs? |

The purpose of GND is to improve the dynamic range of your photo, reducing exposure on certain portion of your composition... something which CPL cannot do.

You have a budget of RM4k.... nothing beats the image quality of Sony Carl Zeiss 16-80mm.
If you want a wider lens, you might wanna wait for Sony 10-24mm. |

SAL16105 also not bad... almost similar performance than the CZ. Both are DT lenses, which means they're not full frame lenses.
CZ 16-35 f2.8 is a full frame lens, but price would be around 5k-ish... like CZ 24-70 f2.8 |

calling someone a whore in the forum is definitely a personal attack and nothing to do with constructive discussion or criticism.

QUOTE(hokc77 @ Feb 9 2009, 05:51 PM) Let's take a break from all the "missiles".. Even if you have a fast lens, large aperture will cause lack of depth of field. You'll still need to stop down to like f6.3~f8 to capture more depth of field. So in this case, fast lens is not that much useful, unless you want to shoot a specific subject/item. But not so if you wanna shoot a scenery with a lot of stuff in it.Since today is the last day of CNY, how bout some spam? Location FGS Dong Zen Temple in Banting Klang. Endure 1 hour of traffic jam but it was worth it. Wished i had a faster lense.......... Most of the shots were handheld at 1/40 or 1/50 so pls excuse the "blurness"... |
