hey guys..recently i notice quite a number of my friends(mostly female),they prefer their portrait to b soft-focused...most of them said they love the dreamy style n such..in the end i always end up adding another gaussian-blurred layer n blend it with multiply or overlay....

well..i don really mind adding those stuff for them 1 by 1...but i was wondering issit good or perhaps correct to do it that way??

if budget allow..get a F1.4 lo..i think the performance is kinda good..if nt..can get KM F1.8??

there are softwares to tell u the exif...or if u r using firefox..there r quite afew plugin to tell u instantly from ur browser =) nt sure whether internet explorer can do it..using mac here..so nv tried..

i think the rotating head of the F58 is a big plus compare to F48....if i nt wrong..i think there is some diff in the wireless capability btwn these 2??im nt a flash guy..so probably other flash pro can giv u better answer.. =p

quite a nice lens..but too bad i've been seriously under-utilizing it =(

i adjusted the contrast..but nv touch the WB..i prefer it to b slightly warmer....
btw the background of this pic of mainly yellow n orange color flower..i guess it makes the WB looks even more off?

i was thinking F4 might nt b 'fast' or shallow enough at the short side...


edited: i feel that the focus on the dumpling photo was a lil bit too soft......lets see wad the pros say..maybe its just me

but ur 1870 is nt constantly F4..i dunno much..but i believe KM3570 shd perform much better?

ur dad giv u 400bucks..u can always save it first and get ur desire lens later...no point to buy 1 lens in a rush with wad u hav on ur hand..n keep upgrading again n again in the future...

anyway..im nt v good with lens..lets see wads the advice from the pros... nites

some macro shot from tamron 90mm i took yesterday

i think depend on wad/where u shooting??flash definitely comes in handy..but if u mostly shoot at outdoor under the bright sunny day..den u probably wont use it often..if u shooting event..wedding..blablabla often..den u have to get one....
well..this is wad i think from a newbie perspective..correct me if im wrong..

hahaz..hvn had chance to play with tammy 1750...but from the pictures..i think its kinda good lens...

bought around 2months ago..cost me about 1060sgd
choose it bcoz the range is just nice to cover my kitlens...actually would prefer if there is sumthing like 1680 F2.8..haha..but too bad

imo..its definately better than kitlens..u'd love the constant f2.8..
nt familiar with price in msia..but if i nt wrong..i think i saw it around rm1.6~.1.7k somewhere

somehow i feel that 2470 is nt wide enuf on our non-full frame slr.....unless u hav another wide angle lens to support
