The girls will throw mandarins into the river, and the guys will pickup the mandarins. Or is the trend has changed to tikam-ing mandarins? It has been quite sometime since I last shoot a Chap Goh Meh celebration at my hometown biggrin.gif

Even if you have a fast lens, large aperture will cause lack of depth of field. You'll still need to stop down to like f6.3~f8 to capture more depth of field. So in this case, fast lens is not that much useful, unless you want to shoot a specific subject/item. But not so if you wanna shoot a scenery with a lot of stuff in it.

then i guess tripod + long exposure?

A good body with good noise control would help a lot. Tripod is useful for landscape for not ideal for walkaround. smile.gif

I guess most people will regard more focus point as a better camera. Even the engineers who design the camera is moving along this direction.

Notice the number of focus point for D40 up til D3x?
*
Comparing a D40 with D3x is like comparing your local proton with Ferrari. Stupid comparison isn't it ? laugh.gif
I never know that moarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr focus point = better camera. SRSLY !!!

Nah, since he claimed that his sifu is liewwk, hence I'm curious to know whether he'll be following his sifu's route to the ultimate poison or not.

KTCY, thanks for the search-and-replace. biggrin.gif Yes, the A900 is awesome for certain applications. I didn't say Alpha is always the best, there are some criteria or requirements where another system will do better. If you asked me how a KM7D is better than an A700, I would tell you, but that doesn't mean I'd prefer the 7D.

Took this photo during X'mas eve in Berjaya Hills. Wanted to enjoy the fireworks rather than busy taking it so I set the Shutter to 4s and let it kau tim by itself. Added 2 sec delay as well to avoid camera shake.

Any easier ways to take fireworks?
