"A letter was sent to me from Jabatan Pelajaran offering me to study in this school.

May I know is this school good or not?

How is the PMR and SPM achievement for this school?''-John Lennon

I think it is good because it comes from the Jabatan pelajaran itself.

HOLY SHIT. It's my secondary school!

John, below is my own perspective and what I think:

The school is fairly new, not even aged a decade, it has quite good facilities as you can see. The PMR and SPM standards as I can see has been degrading throughout the year. The number of students aced all subjects in PMR subject is slowly going down. In 2006/07, the number of was around 90plus beating every single school in KL district.

I blame everything on the administration. They have a weird way on running things. The Head Mistress changed 3 times in the course of less than 6 years. The first Head Mistress which I was so proud to be under have gone on pension. The second one starts really bad policy and according to my junior peers, the staff turnover is almost 4 teachers per year. The Ministry even sent probationary teachers to teach the Form 5s(my batch).

Never the less, it's a good place to study as the facilities are good and updated. There's no problems regarding truancy and gangsterism. It's not one of those school which you can apply and get accepted right away.

When I was in your scenario, I applied for VI but got SMK Seri Bintang Selatan. I was disappointed and the first year I was there, it was the school's first year too. sad.gif

So I moved to SMK Seri Bintang Utara -- which is 1 minute away from SMKSBS!

I have 2 brothers.
1 is in SBS and the other in SBU.
From what I see, both schools are not bad.
So choose either 1 and you'll be fine.
And who says only sons/daughters of Datuks only can enter ?
I have tonnes of normal frens there.

My sibling is in SBU the school besides it. Seri Bintang is one of the top schools around KL. Cluster school I think.
